A smooth meter can be achieved, there's just a thousand ways to do it.

    Badger3000:
Why oh why cant WGT get the server sorted out so that the meter doesn't keep shafting us?

Use the search-box to the right, and seek methods on how to obtain a smooth meter.

To those who keep on saying its the users problem, bla bla...

I've been playing a few weeks, in almost every multiplayer match I play, at least one person has bad meter stutter (usually for most of the match).

It's not that hundreds of people who play WGT have bad computers...it's a combination of WGT's servers incapability of coping when more people are online**, and compatibility of players (someone mentioned in a thread that we should have ping ratings, this would me a major improvement IMO)

** I've personally noticed the problem a lot more at the times when WGT is busier

I get meter problems every day, without fail, mostly in multiplayer games.

Before anyone says anything about my computer: It has a 600GB Sata II Harddrive, a pentium dual core 2.5Ghz processor, 4GB of RAM, and a Pentium G45 Chipset (not a gaming pc, but not a shabby spec either). Also have up to 50 Meg broadband, so internet speed not a problem either.

On the other hand, I don't think its a conspiracy to steal our balls...I'm fairly sure that WGT are fully aware that they will lose money on this, rather than gain money (people dropping out, refusing to spend any more etc).

    Just my two pennies worth...

    Rob

man, if that isn't the understatement of the year - and the exact reason that troubleshooting meter issues is so frustrating. Something that works for one has no affect on someone else.

Somewhere on here should be a sticky'd, wgt controlled thread with known solutions and suggestions for meter fixes. Might be a lot more helpful than the standard 'it's on your end guys, nothing we can do to help' response.

playing videos on youtube or espn or anything for that matter really screw up the meter too. But in the last month i can count how many meter problems i've had on 2 hands. And that is pretty good.

never had a problem with meter....unless im watching vids in between shots.  Close vids and meter goes back to silky.

just my own opinion cus a few peeps said no-one comes into the forum to tell people their meter was working fine.  I genuinely believe it is your equipment causing lag...a commercial company is never going to sacrifice quality of gameplay (which attracts people in their millions) over forcing you to lose a few balls by way of meter probs!(seriously??)

How smart is it to spend that much on what you claim is a crooked game?

Oh, wait!!  WGT, I've spent a million bucks, I'm waiting for my refund.  Rush it along, will ya?

    borntobesting:

No! Most of the one that don't have an meter issues don't say anything in the forums! The one that habitually complain about a bad meter WILL NOT listen to the few of us who don't have a bad meter when we tell them what to do to have a good meter. All they want to do is bash WGT. When in fact it is something in their own PC setup that is causing their trouble.I have very few if any meter problems. Why? For 1 thong I run a very clean machine. I defrag the drive that the browser that I play WGT with once a week. I also run Game booster 2 which helps a lot And I also play with flash quality set to low,if for no other reason that the ding bar is slightly larger at the lowest setting If the majority of the whiners would spend as much time analyzing their PC as they do at bashing WGT they would find their problem and have a much better game experience.

So you agree the vast majority do have a problem with the meter?

Can I borrow your 'thong' btw?

I'll try anything once  - especially if it smooths the meter out.

    Peace.
