Above: Live Gamer is rebranding as Emergent Payments.

I'm guessing the mobile phone payments (for credits) was through them, so that wont work anymore as well as the ad's etc..

As long as there is a mobile market this site isn't going anywhere. Already been stated by WGT.

     andyson:

Its pointed at how WGT's website traffic is trending.  It was the cash cow that allowed the mobile development.  Can mobile support the website now?  If the website shuts down no more AS, no more VUSO, lots of disappointed members.

Mobile users who visit wgt.com would be counted as they access it over the internet.  As Shoe implied tho, playing the mobile game on a phone doesn't connect to wgt.com.

"Website isn't going anywhere at least not anytime soon, way too many benefits to having the website.

I think allot of you dont understand how games work

WGT players break down into 4 groups

the casual players, they are the ones who are not to great at the game spend the most money on the game, you see alot in alt shot, they make up most of the population, they dont frequent forums dont have charts just play

The raiders (R2G) the players that play the big comps and ready to go every day, these are elite players spend not much cause they generate there own credits, that take the game seriously

The pvpers , The players that play MPC they are the ones who like competing direct v other players and win allot of creds, these are the smallest population.

The Facebookers, The peopel that find it on face book think its like farmville get frustrated dont play allot.

This game is a money making machine it wont die, you people that post on forums that think it will make up about 1-2% of the games population

The importance of the hardnose PC version players doesn't carry much clout anymore, but the game/business is doing great...

    And Josh, I think that you think that your 15 sec. quickie WAG (Wild A$$ed Guess) will fly with validity because you thunk it up. (example: I don't fit into any of your four guesses) ;-}

The only thing I see dying on WGT are many of the original, trusted and beloved members. For many of you who were the corner stones of this game, you know of whom I speak. My days of nasty, smart a$$ remarks are long gone. I was just another grain of sand on the beach and of no real importance to this game. I made many many great friends, spent way more real money than I care to remember and caught my share of _ell. I see several of my friends who are still active on WGT, levels getting higher, averages going down and way too many of the same issues in the forums.

With all this said, I don't see WGT going South any time soon. It is still a huge money making business for a select few. They had a vision, got it going and let the fools rush in. Lets all take a moment and remember the ones we have lost. The game will go on, but will never be the same without them.

I dedicate this post to the One And Only Lizzie and Strange Magic.

    Lily's spot on.

I don't fit into any of those groups and neither do most of my friends or clubmates.

Don't lump this game in with other, typical games. It's not typical, it's a unique browser game with no download, playable from any online device, anywhere.  What other decent golf game can you say that about?
