    puttersman:
Another huge problem is being stuck with a shot that does not advance when you hit it. I don't care what you use for a club or how bad your shot is it should advance, just like it would in real golf. If it is in an unplayable lie then it should make you take a drop and cost you a single stroke, not make you hack at it and max you out .

Most bad lies are not unplayable if you use the correct shot type. The punch shot will get you out of most of the worst lies. And the few instances where the ball is so close to an obstruction where you can not advance like in the pot bunkers of St.Andrews against the high walls you need to aim away from the green so that you can get out of the bunker putting the ball back into play. It will cost you 1 stroke but it is much better that hacking away at it until you max out. I have had to do this in real life as well. You do what every it takes to play your best.

If you went into a golf shop at your local club and wanted to buy the best set of clubs, would they sell them to you?

I realize that, and have done that when necessary, but I have played other golf sims and they don't seem to have a problem with lining up the golfer to the putt. I.E. Links.  Now I thought WGT was striving to be the very best. Well then lets try to look like it. It is not that difficult to automatically have the golfer lined up to the putt.

And at the same time, why not open up the Clubs and Balls to everyone?

Cmaster136... I am in agreement with you.  Yes, let's open up all the clubs and balls to everyone.

But, as in real life, let the better clubs in the hands of hacks and amateurs (and others) be a little bit wild left and right.  And have less consistency long and short.  Then, after multiple rounds, that player can begin to manage his/her clubs.

Same with balls... just because an amateur chooses to play a high spin ball doesn't me he/she knows how to effectively impart or utilize that spin.

    Could you live with that?

Bigfoot?  Now, come on, be serious!  If you'd said a bird flying off with it, or maybe a squirrel on a course with trees, then I wouldn't say no to that.  But all the other bits and bobs... yeah, I like them, both realistic and a 'hoot'.

What about a streaker or two running accross the greens .

As has already been talked about on other threads, this is not a porn site!

How did this thread get from the weather in Scotland and creatures with skins of leather to nudity on our fairways???  Never mind, don't answer that, it'll only end up in another argument, and Lord knows we've seen and had ehough of those on WGT!

I could, but it would also help if there were a Driving Range and Putting greens for each person to practice on too.
