Cheap real golf!

  Our new leader for cheapest round is Mr Dazza501. I checked out the golf course and it looks real lush with a cool A frame clubhouse!

  I also noticed a Burley golf course in Idaho that charges about $16 for nine holes. Guess that's kinda cheap for a US course.

  LOL Paul....on the green?

  Reminds me of #6 at NSW Golf Club - the green is actually is probably 20 meters away from the hazard (cliff).....well you would think!

  The winds can create havoc and I have seen a few balls (including mine) plunge into the Pacific - no ball retriever required.

  A friend and I spend Saturdays in the summer playing out in the Palm Springs area. Booking online we can sometimes get on Cathedral Canyon for $9.50 including riding cart.

  We get on various courses for $13.50 to $25 and all of them include riding cart and an ice chest. For example, we can almost always walk on to Palm Desert Resort Country club without a tee time for $19. Desert Dunes (where the Canadian Tour plays in the fall) is a great course and they often have tee times online for $20-25. Other courses like Tahquitz Creek are in the $15 range.

  We usually have the courses to ourselves because very few people venture out there in the summer heat.

  You can play over here from £8. We have more courses per square mile than the USA.

  It is just a 9 hole par 3 course but it only $10 all day play as much as you want for that $ 10. And the 10th round is free. It is a fairly decent test of your golfing abilities with holes ranging from a short of 90 yards up to a long of 204. With the middle 3 being 175 - 150 and 185. A good test of your irons and if you are a short knocker like me a good test of your woods and or hybrids.

  Pretty decent rates for East Orlando ( Walt Disney World) and it includes a free golf cart for 18 rounds. Plus there are nice discounts if you sign up for their email specials.

  Sunset at 6:41 pm - no wonder that they let you go so cheap after 3 pm for a fraction of a round ;) Still a good price w/ cart though.

  Over here, some courses started "Crazy Tuesday" or "Crazy Monday" this year - you only pay your HCP in Euros for a round, walking. Cheap deal for single handicappers ;)

  I am not sure on that Paul........if the course is quiet, if I teed off by 15:30, I would rate my chances of playing 18 as very high. 

  If it is busy with slowpokes...........still a good walk.

  I do remember playing in the UK......teed off latish in winter and made it to the 18th tee where the group i front were about to tee off in darkness - they invited us to join them....so 8 players teed off and walked in a line to find any ball LOL.......3 players holed out on 18! Social round so all in fun

  Nice story, good fun!

  You may have reason concerning the finish, because I played 18 holes in 1:55 hours by myself lately, with cart.

  Last November, I had the best of luck in Spain, teeing off on the first twilight tee time, 1 pm. The round ended five hours later, us being the second-to-last group to finish 18.
