how would you rank the courses for the following..

  4 courses sta, kiw, bb and oak

  how would you rate them for the following hardest to easiest

  my picks after categories

  overall difficulty, oak, bb, sta, kiw

  difficulty to hit fairways bb, oak, sta, kiw

  difficulty to hit greens bb, oak, kiw, sta

  putting difficulty, oak, sta, kiw, bb

  any other categories?

  JMO of course...but I would throw in a scrambling and most definitely a sand save difficulty  category. Sand types and lies are quite different.

  You have to remember these views drastically changed when the legend tier was introduced,  Kiawah is now a killer!

  Some variation depending on conditions (i.e. hitting fairways on StA in the wind can be comical at best)

   

  Overall: BP, KI, OAK, StA

  Fairways (windy): StA, BP, OAK, KI

  Fairways (still): BP, OAK, KI, StA

  Greens (in Reg): BP, KI, OAK, StA

  Greens (generally, i.e. trying to get in the right spot once on): OAK, StA, KI, BP

  Putting (Fast and Slower): KI, OAK, BP, StA

  Putting (V Fast and Quicker): KI, BP, OAK, StA

  overall difficulty (for legends): OAK, KIA, STA, BPB.   For masters, KIA is easy, but for legends, it's tough.

  difficult to hit fairways: STA (ball rolls a lot and hits bumps -- unpredictable), BPB, OAK, KIA

  difficulty to hit greens: BPB, OAK, KIA, STA

  putting difficulty: KIA, OAK, STA, BPB
