Good post though and you're right. Saved me the bother.

One question, ASCII, a word? Is it pronounced askye or askee?  Wii want to know.

" It is only an acronym - if the initials make up a word that is then used in normal conversation."

Acronym :  "an abbreviation formed from the initial letters of other words and pronounced as a word, i.e. NASA"

    yup...he's absolutely correct....:)

Alternate shot game and match plays are the essence of wgt for me. I get so much bored to hit single rounds. Don't care about the tiers or the number of ranked rounds. If i have some time to dedicate to this game, i always play alt matches or mps. Love the company and the competition with a true opponent. When i play alone, i always lose concentration and i can't see the time to finish the round. In mps or alts instead, i have fun and play so much better.

Certainly not A-S-C-I-I. Askee for me.

Wii is OT - an artificial word. *grins*

When your opponent makes a long eagle putt, the proper response is to say "giant furry yak", but you can probably abbreviate it to GFY.

which, as we learned earlier in a different string, is not an acronym...:)

Not "we".  This is brand new information to me.

Ahhh...you are correct again, sir....it was this thread...I answer so many, I sometimes forget where I learned what...actually, there were two concurrent threads both entitled "alternate shots"...it was earlier and I was sober...hopefully someone else noticed also.

    Confusion rules the day....:)
