Please please make this crap go away WGT. It's hard enough getting an A/S game in with all the glitches already and now you shove this dumbazz clash down our throats and it's impossible.

I even tried for over 2 hours last night to get my real inter-club CC M/P match in and my poor opponent had to forfeit because your cheap servers can't handle the extra play.

I could give a crap about this stupid nonsense you call a competition, just let us play the game the way we like by making the BS thing go away.

I don't think they hear you Ed

Wgt loves this somehow, they must make some money of the passes.

I haven't either Siggi, except the very first flawed clash where any course that was set up as a CC tourney was considered a clash event. I actually think you were still in TPC at the time. I believe it was Raul who set up a par 5 tournament and when I got to the tourney, unknowingly I was on the ladies tees, and only finished my round because I was a new member in TPC and didn't want to withdraw. First and last time for both short tees and a clash.

It wasn't until I was done ( and embarrassed to say the least for playing short tees) that I saw I had completed a round and was involved in this foolishness. Believe me I didn't grind away for all this time learning this game the right way to get involved in foolish child's play.

No need to feel bad about using the short tees that time (I don't ever play them either) as the par 5 course doesn't  really matter.

You're aware that we (the Georgian) mainly use the Clash as an in-house competition right?

I couldn't give a stuff about the golden putter, I'm after the 2k, 3k and 5k credit rewards in our 3 in house divisions based on tier. Not to mention the sleeves of balls and passes.

But to score as many points as you do, and only 12 super passes, your members are buying passes to play... so your club  has fallen into WGT's money pit. You could make an in house competition without the clashes.

Vandassey has tried to relate to you why The Georgian plays in the clash as they do. From reading a lot of your reply's I get the feeling that no matter what he says it is not going to help you understand. You are to hung up on WGT being a money grabber. You keep whining that people should not buy extra passes for an event established by WGT with their rules. We have never said the clash is a good format but this is America where each person has to the right to spend their money any way they want. (within the law) Just like it is the right of a corporation to make money. I have never seen on the news that you held a picket sign and stood in front of Microsoft, Apple, Exon etc, etc, because they are making to much money.

Your premise that by boycotting the clash and not playing or spending will fix the problem is flawed. There will always be people with the mindset to play in the clash so let them. It is your right not to play in the clash or even play on WGT Golf. Where you step over the line is calling names, degrading those that do want to play, and whining all the time about an event you do not even need to participate in.

So, if your premise is I will whine until WGT drops the clash....then you are doing a good job of it. Will they drop it...who knows but until they do let each WGT CC play as they like.  Personally, I am getting tired of the same old lines of crying over something that is just a game. Please, just play the game...it is just a game.

good job dan my money my time my will, you don't here the millions of call of dudy nuts screaming about buying their game packs etc. If your not having fun then please leave and let the ones of us enjoying ourselves and the company of our fellow club members waste our money anyway we please.I have pacifiers for all the whiners just like when I play real golf with my buddies. we keep them in our bags and hand them out like candy. Have a good day and play on.

How does a club decide fairly who gets the "fancy" putter?

Can't imagine how it is decided fairly when the owner has so much confidence in her  own members that she constantly poaches the top players from other clubs every clash. Just look at her recent activity making friends. All of the new "friends" are members but if you click on these new friends score history, they were all top tournament finishers in other country clubs just a few days ago. She blatantly tried it on me a few clashes ago, I still have the messages, quite detailed. I'm a solid one year member of a solid club and have contributed well over 500,000 xp's in less than a year. I had no desire to join her club and had never heard of her before she friended me. Get lost!

I actually read through 8 pages of this caca just to make sure I wasn't making points and asking questions that have already been said.

I'm still yet to see an answer as to how these "In House" competitions are run for the 5k, 3k and 2k prizes.  I can speculate with reasonable accuracy that the 5k credit winner would most likely be the person that plays the most and is NOT chosen to receive the putter.  So in other words, if you spend 15k on passes (Not an unreasonable estimate looking at some of these losers players) you get 5k back as a "prize".  The only way these "prizes" would be worth it would be if the winners are chosen at random by the owner and they happen to go to somebody who spent less than what the prize is worth, which seems rather unlikely after browsing through their list of members.

Next, what incentive is there for anybody other than The Georgian to participate at all in these things?  They have more points than the #2 and 3 clubs COMBINED.  Also, the only difference in rewards between the #2 finisher and the #250 finisher is 3 CC passes (worth exactly 111 credits, or pretty much $1) and those stupid tee boxes that nobody cares about or uses anyway.  So if my club is just outside the top 10/50/100/whatever...what incentive would we have to rally the members to play and get inside that threshold?  We're losing 100 XP per round in this event anyways compared to a normal tournament so theres absolutely NO REASON at all to justify striving for one or two extra CC passes.  Heck WGT even took away the speed boost prizes and I actually liked using those.

I played in 3 total rounds (1 purchased) in this clash because my club has 1-2 poor souls that pour money into this garbage to try to stay in the top 25 and they needed help to edge out another club at the last minute and I felt bad for them.  Rest assured though that I will be motivating my club to stay the heck away from this event entirely until we have a reason to participate in it again, and playing for 4 CC passes instead of 3 CC passes just isn't going to cut it.

Congrats to The Georgian for spending another $5,000 on a free putter that isn't even very good.

    -E

These clashes have become a joke first off they happen every two weeks and only one club gets a virtual prize. Wgt need to spread these out like every other month which would be six times a year and give out more prizes to say the top 10-15 clubs( a decent putter ,wedge, iron, sleeve of ball)s then I think more clubs would participate and enjoy it better.

There is no doubt that the system is flawed, but all I see is a bunch of complaining about it. I have fell into the trap as well and jumped on the bandwagon and complained, but instead of only complaining maybe we should offer some suggestions to make it better.

Right now it is all about the numbers. The more players that you have playing the better your chance of winning, just because 5 or 6 players with bad rounds will still gain more points the 2 players with a good round.I just don't see how my 46 member club can compete with a 187 member club!  Another problem is the bonuses that wgt gives out at the end of the match. We won a match just to loose it due to the bonus points at the end of a match.  The way these are set up takes all the skill out of the game,

The only skills needed to win a CC Clash is to have deep pockets, and lots of members willing to reach in their pocket and play a lot of rounds.

If WGT based their clashes on stroke average, and get rid of the bonuses there might be more people playing.

Again I just want to see these clashes based on Quality not Quantity. But the bigger clubs will not ever go for this because then all their Amateurs and Pros that they have would hurt them instead of help them.

I want to finish my rant with this statement. WGT Please consider changing the clashes to a skill based system VS who has the deepest pockets with the most members!
