Just posted this to a friend who asked me to activate the pepperflash a try to see if the meter was better.

    __________________________________________________________________

    Hey Don,

I can only with pepperflash using Chrome and it is just terrible even playing on my own. I see the hard disc is completely quiet but still the meter is way too choppy in 8 shots out of 10.

I can disable pepperflash with Comodo Dragon but meter is not smooth all the time, still ugly. Have tried with Maxthon but is the same history.

It annoys me a lot to see there is no solution, no matter what I do.

Until 4-5 months ago the game was enjoyable because the meter, mainly with Chrome was smooth 95% of the time, then they came some updates that I could see I started having problems with the meter and posted in the forums...I HAD never ever complained about the meter before since I joined in 2010. I always found the way to fix the game but clearing cache, history, etc.

I am done with this game.

Using the same computer as 5 years ago; QuadCore Pentium 7, 3.00 ghz, Windows 7 with 12 gb ram...so no problems with the pc specs.

Using same design programs as 4-5 years ago when all was smooth with the game....very enjoyable.

Just played the single uneven match and scored ok due to putting good but missing all dings, absolutely all because of the choppy meter.

Cya's Don. I won't delete the account but I will not be around, until a big fix shows up and make my meter smooth again.

    Regards, Eric

One possible solution is to make sure vid card drivers are up to date. Sometimes Flash gets a change that affects them. A few years ago I got a newish computer, (I seldom buy the latest and greatest.) and the game was awful. Updating the drivers did the trick.

Most manufacturers have a sign up that will send an email alert when new drivers are available.

I'm sure you know this, but just in case you don't, that 12gigs of Ram only matters if your using one of the higher end 64bit  Win7's....

    Win7 only recognizes:

While the maximum RAM limit for 32-bit Windows 7 editions is 4GB, when it comes to the 64-bit editions, the amount of memory that the OS can address depends on which edition you are running.

Here are the upper RAM limits for the different editions of Windows 7:

    • Starter: 8GB
    • Home Basic: 8GB
    • Home Premium: 16GB
    • Professional: 192GB
    • Enterprise: 192GB
    • Ultimate: 192GB

When are you going to stop driving my friends off WGT? Nearly all the changes you've made since December of last year are making the game unplayable, or much more difficult for many many players.

It seems with so many forum posts, and doubtless many emails, that someone would have grasped that ...

And new bugs show up every day ... does it take a crisis to get some fixes put into place?

Tried playing last night...absolutely unenjoyable...had to reset 3 times bye the third hole,of course that meant a DQ..

Seems like for me,if I don't see the AD in full befor the game starts I'm screwed.

I see I perhaps should have not started the thread here as I am not asking for help any longer.

I just wanted to point that that even veteran players like me, who though complains about a bad meter were silly & unreal, have now run into an spiral of desperation trying to play the game with an smooth meter.... and after almost 6 moths of trying it, I finally give up.

Forgot to say, my internet connection is a "tween" fiber with up to 60 mb up & down.

    @ Jim. Drivers are updated

    @ Dan. Windows Home Premium

@ Baggs, Have tried Maxthon as mentioned before.

@ Don & Bubbs, well no drama mates, I will check the forums and the game once a month to see if there is something new about fixes, free time can easily be used doing something more enjoyable.

Last thing Bubbs pointed out, if I play the game with my Android (phone) meter is awesomely  smooth ALL THE TIME. Playing with my phone is no what I want.

Pretty much the same here regarding 'playability'.

Btw I thought all my drivers were up to date. When checking all at once through Windows' own Device Manager I'd get the 'all up to date' message.

Checking them individually/one-by-one (pretty tedious mind) gave me different results, with two being shown to be out-dated.

Me neither Eric. Yip thats it in a nutshell, ive been saying (and others have) that its the mobiles WGT want. Sit on a bus and play a hole or two, sitting in doctors waiting room and playing a bit CTTH or best of putting etc.
