Since I play in an alternate universe where normal golf rules don't apply, (lol), here are my figures:
- the 12 "feet" in elevation change equates to 4 yards, give or take. Take off 4 yards.
- 8 mph wind in your face with any amount of backspin means something. Negligible (at best) with my shot.
So you now have a 165 yard shot with basically wind a non-factor. Why? Full topspin. Full topspin will negate the wind as it heads into it. When it lands, one would expect the ball to advance itself on the ground because of the topspin. Instead, it digs in and surprisingly, stops rather suddenly. Equations / math etc. become much simpler.
Parameters abound. But, you figure them out. I've done the hard part for ya. Let me know how it works for you.
