  Recently played this club in an inter CC match and I must say they were all excellent players from the back tees that gave us a very challenging battle. Very nice bunch of folks as well.

  I have absolutely no doubt that this is true, I have played regularly with some of them and consider them friends. It doesn't change any of what I have said.

  Regular use of red tees degrades the game and makes tiers and averages meaningless.

  PaulTon, While I admire your nerve to call these people out, you are wasting your breath and time as this is going on in many country clubs and the fault lies with WGT, as they have cheapened the Tiers to no end.  Had WGT had any integrity at all they would have let them play from any tees but once you set a tournament with anything but default tees they should not have allowed the average to change with those who do this.  These are the same people who would play a game and when they reach a challenging point in it would head for the internet to find the cheat codes.  I can honestly say that the people in the Country Club I belong to do not use anything but default tees and if there are any tournaments set up with shorter tees it will only be for a few holes and since one player left I have not seen any red tee tournaments unless it was a par 5 for crap and giggles.

  So before you all attack me, this is within the rules of the game and you are within your right to do it, so have fun with it but at the same time the players that do not agree with it also have the right to voice their opinions and hopefully some will notice (we all know that it is about ball sells with WGT and they could care less about anything else) and not join just to up their tiers.  To all just keep it in the fairway and enjoy the game.

  Actually, he just complimented the previous poster for his opinion. As an aside, I have read many posts on here, including many from Paul, and he is opinionated, to be sure. But, he has never spoken to, or about, anyone with the same vitriol and lack of respect you have just shown. In addition, his posts are well penned and relevant to the topic at hand.

  You have been on this site for almost 6 years and have amassed a total of 8 friends...I doubt they have actually met you, or the number would be even smaller.

  I won't be taking up their offer it would prove nothing. My WGT skills have no bearing on the point I'm making about red tees. quote from Paul

  Since averages can be lowered by beating a higher level player in a match the average is a useless number and always has been. It is only useful to wgt in promoting members to different tiers.

  You have your view of the game and we have ours, we are here to have fun and your here because you must be bored and lonely.

  This conversation serves no purpose since you will not play me, your buddy with only 5 friends and in a club by himself just makes my point for me.

  You take care of yourself and try to have fun playing this game as it is intended to be a social game not a competition.

  It is so sad that with the state of the world today. While terrorist are killing innocent women and children in so many countries around the world,  that you folks have written and commented(now 3 pages)j something such as weather it is a sin to play a computer golf game from the short tees rather then the long tees. Don't you see how silly this thing has become. Enough of this nonsense  let this post be the end of this.
