I think 58 is the average.

@Kilkenny: The number of scores delayed your promotion!

@pgturne: Nope, it's close to 58.8, thus "59.000" is the current best guess.

    thus "59.000"

I made Champion yesterday, was at 59.02 shot a 29, average went to 59 and promotion message flashed up. It would appear that is the magic number. Good Luck all.

    It is definitely 59.0

The new tiers were introduced July 31.

So if you are under 59 and haven't advanced yet, it probably means that you haven't had the 200 RRs since the new tiers were introduced.  I was at 214 rounds (since July 31) when I went under 59 and was advanced to champion.

A note on those 200 rounds!!!  They must be stroke play only!  Beware, as the  "Best of courses", such as  "Best of p3 and p5 do not factor into the equation!!! "

Not sure either but the average all talk about (59 or so) can't be the deciding factor.

I was around 60.3 when I made champion.  So, someone wanted to punish me.  :)

I think what makes it the trickiest is that a lot of players that make it at such a low average probably already had a low average and just needed the number of ranked rounds.  They'd keep posting low scores and dropping their average more and more and once they hit the number of rounds needed then POof, Champion and thinking it's at the super low average they had.

Me,  I know I have the rounds necessary to promote so it all comes down to the average for sure.

Once I get there, not that I'm Champ material but it's inevitable since the average is false anyway,  but once I get there I'll post the average so we know more closely as to what it needs to be.

Just dropped another .01 off and am at 61.00 so have no idea on how long it will take me LOL.

You'll get there when you get there.

    You'll regret it soon enough.

LOL, only another 2 strokes, maybe by next Christmas with me. Maybe we can resurrect our epic race to TL and call it a slow crawl this time. 2 1/2 strokes for me as it took me this long to get back the 4 strokes WGT whacked me with in that update.  :-D
