...have you tried renting a different putter?...try out a few and maybe the "feel" will return...the club doesnt have to be the most expensive in order to make you a better putter, but a change may help. I know the pros on the PGA tour are constantly changing putters when they lose confidence in the one they have.

Ahhhh, the dreaded wall. I distinctly remember running smack dab into it when I was a TM. Was going nowhere fast and getting frustrated. That is when I decided to look at pitches and chips instead of flopping everything. Never looked back, the game was moving forward again.

Moral of the story is change what you're doing. Learn the rest of the shots (if you haven't already) and start looking at more than one way to make a given shot.  :-)

I got rid of my versa and purchased the max. slight improvment. now instead of missing by 4 inches Im missing by 2. LOL. Thanks for the advice and encouragement. I guess Ill have to relearn the game all over again. At least that will keep it interesting

When I find myself in a funk  I go to practice rounds and hit red tees....relearn the pitches, punches and chips.....always seem to help.  You are a Legend...you improve the "around the greens" work and your game will improve.

Apart from better putting by practice or change of equipment, there's a premium to have shorter, and straighter, putts. That means, leaving the approaches as short as possible to the hole, and in the right area.

Look at top players' videos, it's a relevation. For instance, the recent match fmagnets vs. Tasor!

If the putting is always missing by inches, then adjust your putt.

try putting on a practice round, and take a mulligan, until you can see what you do wrong.

Aim or speed is the key.

Some of us are ding challenged ,myself included, so putting is the key.

Approach shots and the short game = scoring.

I'm usually pretty disappointed with an approach shot that leaves me more than 10 feet from the hole.

As mentioned, it helps a lot to know what part of a green you want to be on to have putts with the least break.

It helps to know what part of a green to land your ball on so the contours of the green feed the ball towards the hole. From the fairway, if you choose Flop, Pitch, or Chip shot mode and click on the aiming marker on the green you can see the green contour grid.

If you can't get a level putt, an uphill put is preferable to a downhill putt.

Note trends. For instance. The St. Andrews hole #2 green I noted I was often leaving putts short when putting uphill. I also noticed most other players also left uphill putts short on #2. So now I make a point of adding a bit of extra stroke to make sure I don't leave a putt short on #2.

Well said Jim, I use pitch shot from 4yds to 20 yds and 20 and above i use full stroked mode. then you must know your clubs and i mean the exact yardage. it takes time and practice. I learn from all the top player when i played alt shot on WGTLS and i mean i got schooled. and now i pass on what they have taught me to individuals in my CC. Last,  equipment makes a big difference.
