    WGTadmin2:

Just to answer a few questions.  A Topgolf leader has already spoken to you all and can answer questions.  His name is MisterWGT.  This is not a typical merger since the WGT leadership still remains in place and in fact is empowered to continue to make all the calls with access to more resources. MisterWGT speaks for Topgolf.

Secondarily, you are all correct that in the last year the resources available to WGT for investing in the product has been limited.  It is not that we did not care to fix things or make the product better, but we had to prioritize due to limited resources.  With Topgolf we have a new commitment to invest in Web and Mobile golf.  Instead of trying to convince you with words, we rather show you with actions in the future.  Nothing happens instantly, and you will see Topgolf driving ranges in WGT products, but you should also see a gradual and determined march towards improved stability and less defects.

As for shot consistency, the meter should get better, but the end result of the shot may not be what you want.  This is a game design choice to best reflect what happens in the real world on a golf course.  Skill will always dictate the vast majority of your shots, but due to the shear number of variables, taken into the shot calculation, if you miss even one of them, the result may not be what you expect. This is not meant to cheat or deceive the player, but instead to challenge the player to take everything into consideration.

I join you in looking forward to a more stable and fun game experience and welcome the change for the better.

-thanks for being a loyal WGT player

Now that seems honest, trustworthy and to the point. It should help to alleviate all the uneasiness in these two threads. It helped mine enough to just sit back, relax and enjoy the game thinking better things have a better chance of coming now. :-)

Your passes and days played never match. I'd play a lot if you'd fix that.

the WGT community would benefit greatly if MisterWGT could hold an online chat session with a few of the forum regulars. this would alleviate much of the unrest that has come from the top golf- WGT merger..perhaps in a month or so when a few questions can be addressed more assuredly.

    +1

    Very solid post.

If I was going to be super cynical it's hard to get excited as the track record for follow through has been poor.  Not saying intentions were anything other than good but over time water of a ducks back consumer wise.  Looking forward to that changing as much as you.

Actions will speak, and I sincerely wish everyone all the best. I hope the resources do manifest in a way that lets you bring the much needed meaningful changes.  Get some traction going soon, and the future must be bright.

That i agree with its a fantastic game, and i dont want a Tigerwoods style game.....nooooooo way.

But, and no getting away from it, the mobile game is where the money is, not blaming anyone for then pushing that format, but please, even if you dont improve PC form, then dont downgrade it, is all i and others ask.

    And yes, we all have mobiles its just not the same, as the song goes;

"my eyes are weak i can not see, i have not brought my specs with me, i haaaaaaaaave not brought, my specs with me".

    Power to the PC.

So Chad and YuChiang are now with TopGolf Media, who owns WGT Media, meaning basically Calloway Golf owns a nice chunk of WGT too....

I have been to one of their faclitys here where I live. Fancy place with fancy prices, food , drink and ect. When I got to the driving range area, what I seen was not good. Clubs looked so old and cheap. Which not one, would you ever own. Reminded me of old metal clubs 15/20 years ago. $20.00 for an hour to play. Longest target was only 210 yards. Targets were huge in size, with a lot of smaller ones inside. After trying to hit one of those clubs I was ready to get out of there.

Top Golf might be ok for amature or want to be players, but not for a real golfer. Decided that was not the game for me. Be surprised if they get much business.here.

For me, real golf and here on WGT, where it is a social site to play with friends. Just be happy when this site gets back to where it should be again.
