WGTdbloshoe: We
made these changes to try and improve the visibility when someone makes a
good shot. We felt that when someone hits the fairway it was an
accomplishment and should be called out as such.
I understand the thought behind it, but the exploding PAR after missing an makeable birdie putt or Birdie after missing an easy eagle putt felt sarcastic when those situations occurred. And they happed often to me :( LOL
About as bad as the commentator telling me "very nice shot" when my approach is 20 feet away from inside 100 yards thanks to a finger fart. ;-)
Seriously though, thanks for doing something about it and listening to us WGT. I think it will be tolerable for Eagles or better, perhaps even hole out shots just to acknowledge those great shots. Honestly, I don't think we need anything to show up when we hit a green or fairway. Less is more here I think.
