  Same here - would love to have participated. Didn't realize this was a new tournament -- I thought it was just a thread with comments about the first 2

  Hey Icon --- How about making sure the title of the Post makes it clear.

  Something like  the header on the actual Tournament should have been the Post Heading.

  "Icon's Revenge V3"  

  You only got 22 entries --- I'd say that many people missed the notice.

  I love the events - just make sure we get a good chance to see the notice and enter.

  The first round was UEL, I'm sure there were a lot of WD's.

  Second round will see a few more WDs, and some of those will probably be because there is still no chainsaw available in the pro shop and some of these pins are as bad as the pin on the 5th at Merion.  

  I was pleased overall, improved by 15 shots versus round 1 and  would have broken 90 were it not for the 11 I posted on 17.   You would think having nearly the same putt four times I would have tried something else from the fringe there..... but nooooooooooooo.

  Very good start with 2 birdies on #2 and #5. Then 2 bogies on #6 and #9 because to 2 awful second shot which gave me 2 awful putts for birdie => 3 putts, a stupid par on #7 and a good putt on #8 for birdie. -1 after the front 9.

  The B9 was not good despite 2 very good pars on #13 and #17, the 2 very dangerous holes with these greens. A very unlucky 7f putt for birdie on #14; the ball hit the inside of the hole, took pace and rolled down off the green. Another bogey on #16 because to a 3rd shot 7y long left which missed the green (not helped by the heavy facewind) but fortunately 2 good birdies on #11 and #18 to finish under the par.

  Not bad but I predict a -5 or -6 for mag, the round is less hard than the first one on Merion.

  in with a 72 only 3 shots off joe take that any day on the wobblies lol

  got to grips with greens much better today than my 1st time on them at merion it helped greatly me doing my best to keep them away from any downhill putts lol

  3 birdies and only 1 3 putt operator error lol,the 17th didnt help,chipped it to 6 inches from front of green looked perfect only to watch in amazement after it virtually stopped for it to roll back to my feet lol
