I just bought a set of Ping i25 irons that were listed as 3i-PW, but when I go to equip them there is no PW.

Did I misunderstand what I thought I was getting, and now have to invest more in a pair of wedges? I spent all the credits I spent hours accumulating playing videos, and now WGT is more reluctant to give me more credits watching videos. Are any of the surveys worth doing for credits? The few I looked at ended up wanting me to sign up for or buy something to get credits.

Should I have gotten a wedge with my irons? And how can I get credits to complete my clubs without spending money? I see a lot of people with fancy clubs and expensive balls? Are they all spending money?

I need slow meter stuff, since I seem to have trouble hitting the ding. But those nice slow meter balls ain't cheap, and wear out quickly...

Try refreshing the game and see if that works . Lately the game has really been acting up and seems to have more bugs than ever . So refresh the game and then recheck your inventoryand se if that works . Oh also clear your flash cache to make sure your files are up to date .

I think Scot's right.  This wedge isn't one you can equip separately, it's included in your iron set.

I'd advise you to drop the hybrid as soon as you can and get 3 decent wedges.  If credits are tight I'm sure Jim will help you out  : )))

OK, I am confused. First off I was using the app on an iPad. The PW was listed under irons and I thought it would be listed with the LW and SW. Then if I go to the website my iPad don't do Flash, so I couldn't see the picture like in ScottHope's post.

I went to my laptop and have it now. But what's the "Drag bag here to equip" thing? Do they want me to buy a bag so I can group my clubs into sets or something?

From looking at Scott's spreadsheet I've picked out a driver and putter I'm very happy with. I had a free two hour rental of a $900 TM wood, but it seemed very finicky, so I'll pass on that. The wedges that look real nice are pricey and at a much higher level than I'm at.

I've got about 900 credits to spend and WGT has killed the flow of 2 credit videos to a trickle. I can't seem to find any surveys that pay off. Any suggestions?

And I'm down to my final shots on my balls. The ones that look like they'll keep me competitive are like 600 credits for slow meter balls with spin. Too bad coins can't get equipment.

I probably should head to YouTube and learn what all this stuff is about instead of going to Chelsea for 900 coin games. CC's, tiers, passes, tournaments, rankings. And right now just guessing at club selection which even when I ding a shot is leaving me 6 yards from the hole.

One more question... Other than my lie (fairway, rough, etc.) and the percentage buried, if I'm on the fairway, does it make any difference if I'm on a slope? Or does it treat all shot as if it was flat ground?

    Thanks for all the help.

The 'drag bag' area is for a golf bag. You used to be able to purchase one for equipping different sets of clubs, but as that caused no end of problems, it was removed from the pro shop. You can still buy a bag, but that is purely for aesthetics and just sits next to you on the tee and serves no other purpose.

All shots are treated as if they were on flat ground, unless you play uneven lies (UL) games, in which case they are not, and the in-game graphics assist you in determining the severity of the slope of your lie with a grid and moving dots. The flight path of the shot will be affected by your lie in UL games.

    Uneven Lies game view

Having said that, I have experienced slope affected shots in non UL games, usually at Oakmont where there are some steep banks directly in front of some bunkers. Having been on those banks on occasions and the resulting shot going high and not very far forward, and in one case, going backwards! It pays to pay attention to your location.

Yep: Steep slopes affect the shots even in "even" games. I think of STA#5 and KIA#7, and there may be more.

A Stand Bag is still available, but this simpler version has limited functions as written in the Pro Shop description. Let me add that I find it ugly!

Fortunately, it's only 900 credits ;) You might also check out the lower level R11 (395 cr) and G25 (295 cr) or wait for the mid level G25 (L58, 545 cr). Alas, I'd put a higher priority on wedges, minimum a 64° wedge, or add a 60°. I consider these game changers! The L28(?) Cleves aren't expensive.

You might consider to invest real money in your pastime - it's quite unexpensive if you don't overdo.

Outch - that's over the top!

Top balls only pay off with top clubs, so for now you might try some from the cheap end up: B-ES (10 cr), Tour-SD (65 cr), Srixon (180 cr?). Mind you: It's good to get used to the fast meter because slow meter  is costly!

It's two sides of the medal: The mobile game may be more on the short&fun game side while the PC game is closer to the real world game. Whatever you decide to do, my advice is think about a personal budget and to spend credits wisely, because the treats are plenty but may lead to nothing, and to stay alert concerning the XPs and levels - this side of the game opens the door to higher and more precise equipment.

    The First Rule is

    Have Fun!!

Wedges, wedges, and more wedges. Do not use the starter SW, LW, etc. Upgrade your wedges and this will help immensely. I wouldn't worry so much about buying balls , and definitely wouldn't buy anything non-WGT for a ball yet. I used a starter ball through Master, because I was too cheap for anything else but I also learned to play with it.

900 credits should get you two decent wedges. I would recommend the ATV 54 deg or 56 deg and 60 deg for now. The 54 travels 98 yds, 56 goes 93, and the 60 goes 77. I had the old versions (the Z Satin or whatever), and the punch for the 93 is 77 yds, the punch for the 77 is 63. You should be able to hit any shot down to about 50 yards with these. I actually just got rid of these wedges when I leveled up to the high 70s, cause WGT gives you the free rental and 10% off the purchase when you level up to new clubs.

Again, most important advice I can give you is know how far your clubs will hit. Know how much a 100% shot will go, 95%, 100% with full backspin, etc.  This way you will have a much better idea of what club to use.

There's no need to splash out on those balls, for 250 credits a sleeve of Cally will do pretty much everything you need.

I play for fun, I don't see any point in paying $6 to $9 for a sleeve of pixels.
