Well, the title pretty much says it all...

I have a dozen of balls received from WGT and other generous users as gifts, just sleeping in my golf bag and I don't intend to use them at all. The reason for this is mainly because I've already found my favourite ball and don't wanna waste my time mapping another ball with which I won't even play. Also, they're inferior to my current ball.

So instead of letting them accumulate dusts on, why not allowing to sell them like other equipment at a quarter price?

If not, why not at least allowing to give to users who wish to give them a try? To me, it's just a total waste of resource.

You can eliminate those annoying balls. When looking at your inventory there is an "X" above and to the left of each ball. Click on the "X" and get rid of them.

Gifting the golf balls is a very good idea. You received them as a gift you should be able to gift them or return to to the person who gifted you.. But you know WGT will not allow it.  A good idea on your part is a bad idea for them.

I'm a mobile player and there isn't such an option in the mobile version. I'd rather give them to someone instead of dumping to trash. :(

Thanks for the tip though, srellim234.

From other equipment, only clubs can be sold (and not the golden putter). This is an exeption, and in general, equipment can't be sold because we don't own it. We only buy limited licenses which are non-transferable. Read the T&Cs ;)

Alright, I understand. Why not making another exception with balls then?

The terms and conditions are amendable if necessary, aren't they? :)

I believe balls... uh golf balls should be sold like clubs.

Better have your lawyer read the T&C`s. FatDan posted an excerpt from them in a different thread. I`m not sure even the Mods fully understand them. This may explain why they are arbitrarily applied, often with no explanation about which specific `rule` was violated. It seems to depend on the Mod reviewing the post..very subjective (IMHO)

As I start realizing the greediness of WGT, I become stingier and stingier with buying balls.  I'll play several rounds with stock balls or cheap ones just for spite.  I am not suggesting anybody else should do this.  I have just found my way of making up for some of the greediness.  And, funny thing is, they have no idea how much they are losing in the long run...just saying.  I have complained to WGT and sometimes have not even received a response.  I will continue to play because I love the game and people and my country club.  However, I will also be frugal with my money as WGT protects their pocket book at the expense of our enjoyment.  Good luck to all and don't let the small stuff get the best of you...just get even...lol.

    Take Care,

    Alan

I really don't understand the greediness thing I hear about WGT all the time. It's a business. The reason one is in business is to make money. And additionally, they provide a way that one can play totally for free (if the person lives in the U.S.). I can't think of too many businesses that provide a mechanism where a person can get their product for free.
