  25 yard penalty for hitting the flag stick...serious bad luck on a great shot.

  My deepest sympathies Jetes, I can relate and maybe even do one better.  How about in the hole for eagle turns into a lost ball and penalty stroke? Check this replay out.

  I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

  If memory serves correctly, and looking at the setup, it had to have been a full 9 iron.

  You know how sometimes you hit a shot, you know you nailed it, and are sure it's going to be real close?  I was so wrapped up watching the flight of the ball and then hearing it go in the cup that I never saw the ball go screaming 35 yards left, into landscape and architecture I never even knew was on that hole. Next thing I know the lost ball notice comes up and there I am in the fairway again looking at the same shot.  I went to the menu and looked through the options to see if there was a way to run up and look in the hole.  I had to watch watch the replay about 3 or 4 times before I could fully comprehend what had just happened.  Absolutely incredible!

  Yeah, if that was a RG or MPC I would have lost it.
