18th hole suggestion for courses being designed

  I think what you're looking for is say a 200+ yard 17th at TPC Sawgrass...shoot, even as a PW hole it gives the Pros fits.

  Going by your name and that you mention that green on Cour De Lane. I know that you are or were stationed at Fairchild, lol. I was POL there for 4 years.

  The 14th at Coeur d’Alene is like no other. True, it’s an island green that somewhat resembles the famed 17th at Sawgrass, but there the resemblance ends. This green floats, like a boat, and it moves. In fact, it sails around Lake Coeur d’Alene, never to stay in one place for more that a day. And, of course, should you actually hit the green, you’ll need make sail yourself, for the green, that is. This hole comes with its own"Putter Boat."

  Icon, that would very evil, of course thake that 1 step further and have no Drop Zone. This way you have to hit the green.  Very interesting.

  Or even worse than no drop zone, design it where you get an automatic drop in the sand from 175+....wait we already have that.

  i Caught something on the golf channel last  night about a par 3 where you can only reach the green to putt by going up a mountain by helicopter .Every pro has played here except tiger but most have made bogey .Go on steal my thunder by telling me more .
