Has ruined my meter.  I've done all the fixes MANY times, clear cache, restart the game, restart my computer, virus scans, disk cleanups, defrags, block popups, and uninstall-reinstall Flash Player. Absolutely NOTHING has returned my meter to normal.

I tried to remove the new version 23 and install the last version that was working perfectly but damn WGT would not accept a previous version.  Why the hell not?

It took me 5 and 1/2 hours to play an 18 hole tournament.  How much fun is that???

My frustration and anger is at a breaking point.

You see what I've done to fix the problem and nothing has worked.  Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Change your browser: Comodo Ice Dragon is working very well for me. ATM that is. But there are never any guarantees with browsers and WGT.

I have 5 on my bottom taskbar so should a glitch cause an issue during an important match/game, I can immediately switch browsers and resolve the issue at a later date. I would also add I have three others on file should any be needed.

As for 'breaking point', that's totally unnecessary. Not while there's an ice cold Guinness at hand.

I never thought of having multiple browsers downloaded.  Wouldn't this wreak havoc on my CPU usage?  Or it doesn't matter if the browsers are not in use?  And how do you determine which browser to use on a given day?  And is what order do use them when your meter is not running smoothly?   (and thx a lot for your suggestion!)

Multiple browsers will not interfere with your CPU usage, just the one that you are using at any given time and that should be minimal. The others sit there dormant.

Which to use: as a for instance, after reading how good Maxthon was, I downloaded, installed and used it. It worked so well for a few weeks and then suddenly the in-built ad-blocker stopped working which meant constant pop-ups and just as annoyingly I found myself with that well known disease 'Dysfunctional Spacebar'. After uninstalling and re-installing 2 or 3 times it was time for browser No. 9...10...whatever.

Not being fully tech savvy I have limited pc knowledge. Certainly not enough to 'repair' broken browsers.  I'm hoping one day I can return to my browser trash pile and miraculously they will work efficiently once again. If not there are plenty more fish in the sea.

Luckily enough my jittery meter issues have been quite minimal and were usually cured by a quick re-boot.

Best of luck with your woes and I hope they get sorted soon. The game is difficult enough without additional problems. Atb.

WGT has nothing to do with this process, it's all Adobe and there is a very specific way to change Flash versions. You need to do it their way with their tools.

I have tried the newest version which is 23.0.0.85 with Comodo Dragon version 29.0, Maxthon 5, and Sea monkey and it works well with all 3. Virtually no stutters and quick reaction to the clicks. Tomorrow I will try it with Slim Jet and Maxthon Cloud.

    (edit)

Today I tested it with Slim Jet and Maxthon Cloud with the same results of the other 3, a smooth meter that reacts very quickly to the clicks.

I can't play either. I use firefox and have both updated versions. Tried chrome but the meter stutters too much. Would very much like WGT to respond to this issue. In firefox the cursor dosen't correspond to what you want it to do (change settings, etc), it has to be to the right of what you want it to do. That is the least of the problems

I was experiencing very severe lag and loading issues after updating to Flash v23 in Firefox. It destroyed my accuracy and made any competitive play hopeless. So today I uninstalled Flash completely using the Adobe uninstaller and downloaded the last Flash v22 installer from the Adobe archives (released in July I think). Now WGT is back to running super smooth and no lag/loading issues remain.

Firefox still throws a warning about it being an older/vulnerable version and wants to update it. After allowing the plug-in to run for the WGT site, it's all good.
