    gerryniswonger:

Has ruined my meter.  I've done all the fixes MANY times, clear cache, restart the game, restart my computer, virus scans, disk cleanups, defrags, block popups, and uninstall-reinstall Flash Player. Absolutely NOTHING has returned my meter to normal.

I tried to remove the new version 23 and install the last version that was working perfectly but damn WGT would not accept a previous version.  Why the hell not?

It took me 5 and 1/2 hours to play an 18 hole tournament.  How much fun is that???

My frustration and anger is at a breaking point.

You see what I've done to fix the problem and nothing has worked.  Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Lower right hand corner in gameplay has a full screen function. Your meter will improve in that mode but alas, you'll not be able to chat. Flashpoint update bug will be fixed perhaps in the next version.

You have described 100% what happened to me ! Cost me a matchplay game [had to apologise to opponent and forfeit] and an almost new ball [meter so bad went into water]. Also tried all your "fix" attempts. I run windows 10 so I switched to the default Microsoft Edge [I think this is an updated I.E. ?] and everything absolutely fine. So, i guess you'll have to use another browser. Most annoying as I am [was] a big Firefox fan. Can't believe that Firefox/ Flash would allow this fiasco to happen !

My meter had been unplayable since sometime Wed. Tried all the usual fixes and even downloaded Opera to go along with my 3 other browsers, no improvement.

Last night I uninstalled Flash and installed V22. Meter is still a bit shaky but highly playable. Many thanks to YankeeJim, mpeters and gerryniswonger for starting this thread and pointing me in the right direction. You guys rock!

Your quite welcome mystry.  Learning that I can install several browsers without effecting my CPU usage has been really great. I installed 5 of them, tried them all, and 2 of them worked very smoothly (Chrome & Comodo Dragon).  So I now have 2 backups to my firefox.

WGT has nothing to do with this process, it's all Adobe and there is a very specific way to change Flash versions. You need to do it their way with their tools.

Thank you very much on this link, although it did not help, but I ended up deleting fp23 and installing fp22 and it works like it used too.  They said it can't be supported, but I over rided it and works just fine.  Glad I wasn't the only 1 that was having problems.  Was ready to quit.  Tried downloading all the browsers and nothing good.  Once again thank you.

Well done. Now make sure it doesn't auto update and if it asks you to, show them the door.  :-)

I had this exact same problem and found a fix for it.

    1. Go to your Add-ons Manager.

    2. Click on Plugins.

    3. You will see "Shockwave Flash" with a blue link under it that says "More".  Click on that.

    4.  You should see a screen that says "Shockwave Flash 23.0.0.185.  At the bottom it will say "Enable Shockwave Flash protected mode" with a check mark.

    5.  Uncheck that, and re-start Firefox.

This should fix the problem, well at least it did for me.
