  Is the random number generator in this game also used to determine the outcome of shots and whether or not the putt will be true to the indicated metrics and if the indicated wind speed will actually be a determination in the path and/or distance of the shot?

  WGT is now as random as someone with Alzheimer's. Not sure if they want to reduce scores, or just make players purchase the more expensive equipment to reduce the random effect. The game does not reward skill and those with more basic equipment seem to be punished more. This appears a recent development, but not a welcome one. Those with more basic equipment require more skill anyway, now they need more skill and anger management.

  Equipment characteristics like precision and forgiveness point to a range of shot variation. We can "work" on that with better equipment. Add the very inconsistant influence of wind plus green speed variations and you have a very demanding game.

  Just because one chooses not to listen, that does not necessarily impair one's ability to perceive.

  There is nothing wrong with this game that dedication and a positive attitude cannot overcome. Conversely, if you're piss poor at either or both then likewise you'll reap what you sow.

  Either way and as my aussie hero, one Kevin 'Bloody' Wilson, might sing....DILLIGAF. Let the naysayers, whingers and cry babies, say nay, whinge and cry. Those who want to, will enjoy the game, warts and all. Take it for what it is or else feck off back to your shoot 'em up games that take 5 mins to master and are more suited to your spoonfed upbringing.

  Now, Now, Now, you just burst the OP's bubble.  He thought he had the perfect explaination as to why his game is bad.

  And yes, what alosso said probably went way over.

  Clubs don't reflect the scores posted, but the ball does.  And he wonders why.
