    alosso:
I beg to differ. The CDP is the subject from the OP, and with a pass, the CC will get the CDP XPs from that one shot, too, with all bonus %

Beg all you want, there's a warning in the game when you go to quit a game where you use the CC pass. I don't remember the exact wording but the gist of the warning is if you quit, your CC won't get points.

I will show you after tonight changes.

    This?

This warning is a relict of the time when you had to complete the game for the CDP bonus (uploaded Nov. 2014). It ain't valid any more (and another sign of their incomplete work).

I checked it more than once - under the new rules, we get the CC CDP bonus (*) together with the personal CDP bonus (*), on the first shot, and it won't disappear when the game is aborted. This is one purpose of the change in procedure.

(*) unless we don't get it in a MP game due to a possible programming fault.

That is only for the CDP. If you want your CC to get credit you have to finish whatever you started when using the pass.

I'm not sure I've got this right but from that.... If you get your (personal) CDP bonus with your first stroke of the day and that round/hole isn't finished then surely your CC wont get credit for it whatever you then do.

Yes, that, and thanks for saving me the trouble. LOL. I have never tested it myself however, I have been burned by the disconnect in a pass game. I get the XPs but the CC doesn't and I think that's what was bugging the OP.

The CC gets whatever you get - CDP and stroke XPs as long as the game goes.

MP games may be different - I didn't check.

Thus, until any doubts are settled, it will still be better to play solo for the CDP. One stroke is enough - double checked for all solo games on PC.

I am going to figure this out tonight. After the day changes I am going to use the pass for a 9 hole round. I will quit the round before the end and then see what I get (expected full CDP) and then compare that to my CC total to see what happens.  :-)

    Been there, done that.

You might want to check the XP development on both sides after the first tee shot ;)

    I'm sure you're right.

The above wasn't meant as a stand alone statement but as an attempt  to show that even if ("That is only for the CDP. If you want your CC to get credit you have to finish whatever you started when using the pass." ) was true there would still be no point in buying a pass for the next game if it was intended to get the CDP bonus.

As it seems both are credited on the first shot, it was a point there was no point in making :-(

OK, here's what I did and I think you are exactly right with a bonus. LOL

I started a 9 hole round-the weekly unlimited-and used the free pass. Noting the beginning total, I teed off. I then went to the CC home page and saw that I got +4233 XPs. The daily bonus for me is up to 3712 today so apparently, not only does that first stroke get you the CDP for you AND the CC, you also get the points for completing a 9 hole round in spite of quitting!

So, to really maximize your points, don't bother playing just one hole, enter an 18 round unlimited, tee off and quit-you'll get the extra points for an 18 hole round. All for meaningless points. :-D

Hallelujah - that was hard work! I like to be right, therefore I'm talking facts <wg>.

I don't think so. Don't forget the CC bonus %, +10%, bringing it to 4083. The numbers may also be overstated after the first shot and reduced after shot two.
    I reported on that before.

Or, another member used a pass at the same time, contributing to "your" XPs ;)

To me, the least number of necessary clicks is PLAY NOW, strokeplay, TEE OFF for any random ranked round, and quit after the first shot if I so wish. All for 63 meaningless points on day 3  :-y
