i dont see the organisers of golf tourneys running out on to the course to alter stuff if some one birdies the 1st 5 hole in s tourney.....lol...

They don't have to, the golfer will do that on his own...

When your playing bad you play loose, when your having what could be the best round of your life, you start over thinking, stressing out....

+1.  Dan, you summed it all up in a few words.  Anyone who has ever watched Dustin Johnson have a Round 3 or Round 4 meltdown (like the 2015 U.S. Open @ Chambers Bay) knows exactly what you are talking about.

The point Mr. Fox misses is that VEM happens to everyone.  It's a type of feedback control.  The better players adjust. The Conspiracy Theorist thinks it only happens to him, that somehow WGT is targeting him alone.  I think It seems to be part of a particular mindset, like someone expecting be be in the Top 10 in Virtual Tour events while playing only with free equipment.

Additionally IRL tournaments do change during play.  Think of how different the wind, weather and greens might be between an early morning round and a mid day or late afternoon round.

I'm not decrying the Spider Colin, it's just that the Versa has better attributes on 3 out of the 4 that are featured.

I fully understand your point and agree the level 70 Versa is a better putter...but it's also 2 x the price. He has already spent $12 on the spider...so to now invest another $25 in the Versa has diminishing returns. Besides, if he is using starter balls...his financial status may not allow for it.

We all know that putters are a funny club. I've seen top players masterfully use the $4 spider...and folks using the gold putter miss easy putts. If one is not good at reading speed and break...the actual putter will be of limited use.

    if the game is....

    i dont see...

    but this is what ...

moving the goal posts like this is basically cheating...

^^^ Four paragraphs that just go to prove that the poster doesn't have a feckin clue what's happening around him. If any of that nonsense was true, we'd all be stuck at his low level of play, wouldn't we?

James, you have been given plenty of advice on how to improve your game. You have chosen to ignore it all and continue to blame WGT for your own shortcomings.

Get some CBT and take the advice that's been given to you (by very good players), then you will see some improvement.

Carry on game blaming and you will NEVER get any better.

Jimmy, you certainly seem very ambivalent in your attitude toward both the game and WGT as you incessantly and vociferously condemn them both, yet you still continue to play.

I'm just wondering if neutering might be the answer. Where are you in the UK Jimmy? I 'll throw a couple of bricks in the boot and pop over.

I heat that Dan.  The only stroke play tourney I ever won at my old club I knew I had a good round going as I stood on the 18th tee box.  And guess what?  I pulled my drive left out of bounds.  Damn near put my 4th shot in the car park and finished with, I think, a treble bogey but still won by a stroke or two.

In some ways the game is way more clever than we give it credit for.  Certainly more so than those who are just unable to learn how to play it properly.

The first time I had a shot at shooting a sub-30 round was on the front 9 of St. Andrews. Standing on the 9th hole, I had a putt of about 4 feet for birdie and a 29. Before that shot, I didn't know a person could shank a 4-foot putt. But there it was. I was so mad at myself.

So I purchased some better balls and the next day I shot a 28 on the back 9. I even birdied the 17th hole with a pitch in and ended up with only 8 putts for the round.

The point is (to agree with others) stuff like this happens to everyone. A person just needs to learn from it and use it as motivation to improve.

But people have tried to help you. It's simply the case that you refuse to acknowledge the legitimate points they make.

Oh, I don't know about that. I think they pretty much nailed both.

Look, stuff happens all the time. Last night, I hit an approach to the 17th of St. Andrews that missed to the left of where I was aiming, took a weird bounce, and ended up almost 40 yards past the pin. (The ball had hit just before the bunker.) OK. That was a weird bounce. But one deals with it. And it's for situations like these that I've worked hard on my short game.

So I take out my wedge and hit the ball to within about 4 feet, make my par putt, and go on. But here's the thing: for that hole, par was my goal all along. I achieved my goal. And the reason I was able to was twofold: (1) I didn't let a weird bounce get to me, and (2) I had spent a lot of time developing a decent short game.

To get good at this game takes a lot of practice. And it also takes listening to others and taking their advice. You seem not to want to do either.

I have read several posts from conspiracy theorists trying to "shine some truth". So, here are two truths:

    1. If your game is as sloppy as your grammar, this would explain a few things. Pretend that english is your first language. Pretend that golf takes practice. Both will improve.:)

    2. If you are so convinced the site is rigged...pack your bags. Simple, no?
