another day another crooked round.....

  I just played pepple beach for the very first time since trying to come back. I was -4 after 7 holes and tickled to deah. I had double bogeys on 8 and 9. Not sure what I did wrong but I will do it different next time. Damn crooked round, LOL.

  Pebble gets more difficult as you progress through the holes. 

  Try the back 9 Rich, it's one of those experiences that make you know your alive, lol.

  But the Ghost is much better for off ding putting, that 0,5 less forgiveness works better, cause you can take on a bigger break without moving the marker. And you can click closer to the ding on those who break less, therefore losing less power. 

  But I have no idea what putting method the OP is using. It's obviously not a very good one ;-)

  And therein (the bolded part) lies the problem. If you would accept (sometimes) that you're wrong and allow the other person to tell you what is right, you might actually learn something. Agreeing to disagree and walking away every time is not what adults do. It's something that is usually done by stubborn kids and stupid adults, who prefer to stick their head in the sand and live a dellusional life, thinking they're always right ;-)

  People, who are light years in front of you, when it comes to skill and experience in this game, have tried to explain things to you. You refuse to listen and despite being obviously and painfully clueless in regards to how this game should be played, you think your theories are the correct ones. You're delusional ;-)

  If I hit my approach anywhere near the green, it should land about 3 feet from the pin. And any putt I have clearly should fall for the birdie.

  I just tried pepple 2 more times, 2 shots, 2 brand new nikes gone, ball hits the middle of fairway looks like it hits a wall and jumps straight to the right. Tried the back nine, full 3 iron from middle of fairway, straight into the gulch about 110 yards. Done with Pebble Beach. I don't have the money to give WGT 3 balls in 5 shots. no Conspiracy theories, just shaking my head and wondering what is going on.

  Last night, I had 6 birdies in a row (2-7). As I set up on the 8th tee, I reminded myself: just play for par. That's it. Don't try to get greedy. Still, I needed a bit of luck.
  
  I mishit my approach on 8, and it looked like it was going for the rough to the left. But it kicked forward onto the green to about 6 yards above the hole. The putt was a nasty downhill putt. I managed to get it to stop within a foot or so past the hole and was able to make par.
  
  On the 9th, I had a strong wind behind me. I left the approach about 30 feet from the hole (I over-clubbed a bit and should have known better), managed to two-putt, and breathed a sigh of relief.
  
  With Pebble, one has to really manage one's expectations.

  There lies the issue with me. I no longer have any expectations other than a little fun past time and my friends on here. When I quit early last year I was about to break below 65 for my average. I am now one par game from being back to 67. All good here, just hate losing those new balls. I had gotten past that dilemma, was able to at least keep them in play.

  I'm with ya. Losing a ball really stinks. A while back, I managed to put 3 Nike (L81+) balls out of bounds on successive shots on the first hole of St. Andrews. And that's tough to do. But I somehow managed to do it! 
  
  I just figured it was a cursed sleeve of balls.
