If you suspect a player is cheating, please contact your favorite mod with their player name or let CS know.

You did notice one is from Australia and has 8 r's and the other one is from Canada and has 11 r's .  Two different people would be my WAG. There is a wrong  player profile that appears when hovering over it on the leader board.

My appologies to the real aussie guy who's obviously a genuine champ. You are correct dbcoop71 there must be a bug that shows a canadian lvl 3 hack in his place when you mouse over the player in leaderboard.Another bug to fix then WGT.

Sorry Champion but I disagree with the ethos you are propounding in that you are instilling mccarthyism in WGT? Would it not be better to use the word prove instead of suspect. There are enough self-professed detectives in here already, most of whom couldn't produce a decent identikit of their own mother.

Agreed. I've been accused of just about everything in these forums (sans proof, or even an example for me to address). With regard to cheating, obviously, my detractors have seen me play, and have decided it's not worth their time to even try to make drama out of it...lol

What you are propounding is that we say nothing and do nothing when we think others are cheating.  Unless we are sitting next to the person it is almost impossible to prove someone is cheating and even then it would be very difficult.

There were some high level players banned, although the last of them just before you joined, and I reckon they came into wgt's focus largely down to what was said in the forum and probably to them directly.

The case being mentioned when champion responded: A Level 3 hack shoots 55 in a (18 hole) rg. Can any of us "prove" they are cheating?  Are they cheating?

I really can't see how someone pointing this out (whether on the forum or directly to wgt) equates to mccarthyism. I'd even go as far as to say there was a proper regard to evidence.  The "evidence" is often circumstantial and therefor what is suggested can't be absolutely proven, nevertheless it can be overwhelming.

WGT has many tools to look into these players beyond just what their profile page may say. It's not a witch-hunt or mccarthyism when WGT investigates players. We would rather be notified and look into a player than have rumors about who is cheating and who is not through our community.

    Fair enough.

What I was talking about was players and how they couldn't absolutely prove another was cheating.

As far as I have seen the vast majority of "this player is a cheat" claims come from scores seen in tournaments or, less often, the amusing community spotlight  feature.  As one player has no way of knowing if others have already reported these you may get lots of e-mails about some of the more obvious ones.  Would it not be less work, than responding to all these, to simply look yourselves?  Of all these "many tools" a pair of eyes may be one of the most effective.

I would think the best way to stop rumours would be don't let  these players stay on the leader-boards so long (I don't think the last one did, so well done) and stop them appearing and reappearing in the community spotlight.

You just join this year in June (I hope) , and then proceed to insult people who've been playing the game for 6 years. I've been on here since 2010 myself.

What you should have said is that there are "self-aware intelligent" people in this forum. They look at the evidence for what it depicts and can draw on logical conclusions based on facts..

Some of us have given thousands of credits giving back to the game and only want to rid of people who ruin the game such as the subject of this forum. If you don't understand fine, but don't insult the other side who disagrees with you and has the best interest at heart.

I probably shouldn't have brought this to the forum; I wasn't expecting there would be a way to figure who I was talking about...  I was honestly curious what others thought. Maybe this brings awareness to the fact that there is an ongoing issue that can be solved if people take action and report suspicious players. They don't have the staff to check every player.. I believe there is a misconception that wgt won't do anything... in my experience they have taken action on the couple people I've reported before.

So hopefully this serves as a reminder to report suspects even if it isn't obvious to some, they do look into it. I can attest first hand
