  Hey there,

  I was just reading about Carnoustie in Scotland on CNN's web page.

  While I had, admittedly, never heard of this course before, it is apparently well known as the hardest course in the world.  I think it would be great to play it here in what I think is the best golf simulator in the world!

  carnoustie is a few miles north of st andrews accross the firth of tay waterway and is very similiar to st andrews but the course is longer in yardage .It suffers or is protected by high winds blowing across from europe transported by the north sea and being another links course has the beach and sand for company .The white lady ghost of st andrews does a bit of overtime at the weekends and visits carnoustie so beware because if she lifts her veil you will go completely mad .Dundee is the closest city to carnoustie with aberdeen not far away .

  I have had the pleasure of playing Carnoustie a number of times.  There is no finer and probably more difficult course in the world.  If you ever go to Scotland, this course is a can't miss.  It is as the other poster said only a short ways north of St Andrews and while not as well known, it is more respected.  Cheaper than St. Andrews (the old course) better tract, better caddies and easier to get on, no lottery for us foreigners.

  How about another nice course or two, with grass, trees and water, before giving us another windy, boring goat ranch?

  :) Boring...getting tired of all those people being a member 4 less than a week complaining about (not getting new) courses. Just play the ones which are available at least 1 time! :)....or perhaps minigolf would be the right alternative,,,you can design your own courses 2, YEH!!!

  I have played all over the US and Scotland and believe me Carnoustie isn't a goat ranch and as far as some of the boring US courses like TPC-Sawgrass, give me a goat ranch first, that course has been on every golf game in history.

  Carnoustie last hosted the Open in 2007. It should come up again in the rotation, and when it does, if WGT is around and we are around, we should get a chance to play the course then.
