i'd like to see paid tough-it-out-events, but that comes pretty close, so i had a lot of fun and shot a decent 32 on chambers bay. of course that kind of setup is esp. intriguing on a course like CB where you really can use your imagination and roll the ball along the various hills.
could be quite boring though if you play with decent sets of clubs (around level 70) on easy courses

    WGTNiblick:
We would love to receive suggestions from you about future Set of the Week combinations.  What do you think would be fun to play with?

A choice of putter increments would nice and cater to both parties.. ( 20' ft +  & 30' ft + )

Other than that it doesn't matter about the rest of the clubs..as the change up every week will be fun.

Look forward to playing when the putter is sorted.

I think it's a great idea!  Loved the surprise of trying to figure out the clubs and after a bogey on the first i knew it was going to be tough lol. Love the concept  and you should keep it quiet and surprise us:)

    that

cost db on #2,1st putt 8ft past and 0.6 inch putt hit too hard to go in.Tough and don't want extra thought than others on most important shot [putt] apart from putter is great idea imo

You defeat the whole premise when you start modifying things to accommodate players. Everybody gets the same thing to deal with.

Gotta agree, if you've played with starter putter, you can putt with anything ;)

It will change around anyway, so might get something like a ghost manta then.

1st off..I was answering WGTnibs Q / invites for suggestions...

@V  I do pretty well in the TIO comps, so can use ANYTHING ;)

@Jim  wrong I'm afraid my friend...members who already use the 30 inc, have nothing to deal with....

whilst the 10's users have to learn new scales which gets harder on the shorter putts   6/7 footers.....if I'm gonna pay to play then even a 2% disadvantage will put me off  ( no pun intended )

And those that do have every opportunity to go figure it out before they play.  That was my mistake. I learned avatar moves with that starter putter but trusted myself to remember the values 7 years later. LOL  Bad move and no going to refresh the memory once you start. :-(

    I don't understand that ^^^^ ?

    edt

If 'they' already use the incs, and have a 21.8 ft hit needed.....

wouldn't they already know exactly where to draw the meter too ?

I and others on the other hand would have to stop & work it out.....which for me who plays fast and gets into a good 'flow', would interrupt the rhythm @ least.

Get the starter putter out and head to a practice round. It was shown as the putter being used.

FWIW Andy, I do see your point but them's the breaks if you luck out and get equipment you know. Otherwise, it's level for the most part, IMO because you're forced to think and get creative.

*Edit-When was the last time you saw a RG at CBay with a 32 leading with Fmags 2 shots off of it (who is currently leading another RG at the same place with a 25!)?  :-)
