One year and many hundreds of dollars buying clubs & balls trying almost every thing WGT put up for sale trying to improve my game all the while thinking that the money I am spending is going towards improvement of the game we now have.  This morning I get a wake up call of a different nature.  WGT has gone over to the dark side.  I will not waste space commenting other than to say it makes me sick.  I could suggest payoffs were involved but I have no proof.  If you guys (WGT) really thought we as a group would like this crap then you really did have a pot party (suggested in an earlier post).

Now fix the game you have instead of mucking up the works with substandard arcade games.  The notorious sticky fringe issue is back in full glory where before the latest "tweaking" you almost had it fixed.  I too wish you would allow movement of the pins and do some work on the reality issue of how a 7 mph wind deviates the flight of a ball on BPB the same as a 17 mph wind does on ST Andrews.  There are so many things that need to be perfected in the great game we have that I cannot fathom why you see a need to go to  the corner used game store and pick up an atrocity like Cabo.  I hope that tomorrow morning I wake up and it is gone, I can guarantee you will not make one cent from me on it and I protest as strongly as I can that you may have spent some of the money I paid you for credits to purchase the stack of CD's or floppy's  (it's too old for DVD's) in order to install the program on your servers.  It probably contains viruses that will copy our info and sell it to foreign crime syndicates.  Which by the way if they were running this organization these inherent problems would have been fixed months ago. Sure we would be paying more but at least the expense would be worth it.

We cry, cajole, beg and post on the forums what we want and what we would like to see, and what do we get?  JUNK and a HUGE INSULT. I hope you didn't sign a long term contract because from what I am reading here today you really cut off your own important parts with this one.

I have not played the full course yet, probabably will this afternoon.  I have used the simulators before and while they are fine on a real golf, hit into the screen type of play, they won't work on WGT, not when we are used to the real quality look.  This is a step toward TWO or something like it.  The business model of WGT can not work, I don't know how they ever thought it could, paying $250k to develop one course while you promise your 'members' 3 or more each year just doesn't work when you have basically no revenue stream.  People think that WGT makes a fortune on balls, clubs, etc. but that won't even pay the bills.  It takes a lot more than what they have in ads and sales just to run the site.  This is probably the beginning of the end.

Pay for that? It looks like it came off a Links LS course CD, nowhere near as good as the other courses here.

If it looked good and cost less I'd maybe consider it. Actually, no I wouldn't. Part of the appeal of this game is you can spend as much or as little as you want and have basically the same experience, this would be the end of that and that's a bad thing for the game in my opinion.

Hey Nolan, they promised Congressional at the end of Feb.  then the end of March, now it's June in one report and May in another. They must have two departments that like all other businesses don't talk to each other They should not post anything until it is ready to go.

Lets not go off the deep end. WGT never said when Congressional was coming out, they never do with any course.

May 11 is the closest to a firm date that we have.

Agreed, as God is witness, few if any of the 'problems' seem to be getting fixed?  I've sent dozens of Bug reports to WGT and we're still seeing the same Bugs.  And when you lose a stroke and ruin a great Round because the Meter skips and it costs you a Stroke, they still haven't fixed that either.  It's not Rocket Science, it's just a normal programming fix which should be simple for The Programmer to fix is it not? ;)  Or when you lose balls in weeds because of these meter glitches, they don't even think to offer to give some Balls or Credits back to their inconvenienced Customers.

So I certainly sympathize with frustrated members who have been on this site for Years requesting fixes for Same Problems time and time again but nothing gets fixed?  Perhaps if WGT added a POLL option to the forum, then they could learn what the Majority really wants and truly begin to "listen to its members"?

1st post at 1:39 ...  160 posts in about 6 hours...  Overnight on a slow Wednesday.

Can you imagine the outcry if they'd announced this debacle during the day on a weekend?

    Trial balloon exploded WGT.
