    Meridional:

Good thing TurdGolf is clearly marked so I can avoid it.

Take a look at the regular courses...They all have a Trugolf option, tho they are still free (for the meantime anyway)..

    What up with that homey?

Really WGT???  This is what you think the masses have been longing for???

Cappiest & Bollix got it right, try polling the community before you drive off the cliff.   You might find what the members want or are willing to pay for to be very useful...  Just a thought.

ah who am I kidding, I just wanted to be part of the longest thread in a 24 hour period.

I am still shaking my head in disbelief at this blunder. A failure of epic proportion. What in the name of all that is good were you thinking WGT?

I expect the axe to fall and heads to roll. Just a word of advise, make sure there is water in the pool before you dive in next time. I would also suggest that you start looking into some REHAB clinics in your area, this is clearly a bad sign.

I'm just wondering if this thread has created a record.  Nearly 40 pages of feedback in less than 24 hours.

The fact that WGT has not even commented says it all.

Read a good many posts on this subject - most highly emotional outbursts accompanied by crude ranting and raving and frothing at the mouth. If you wish to contribute an opinion or a suggestion, then do so. But enough with the vulgar tirades, many of which incidentally, provide convincing evidence that the writer is sadly unfamiliar with the fundamentals of economics and exchange.  That said, here is my feedback:

Played 9 holes and I like the course. I will play it again probably a few times but just as a lark and only if accompanied by another player

I don't like the cartoonish graphics. I don't feel the pleasant and very real sensation of actually playing real golf on a real golf course - the visual element is just too artificially concocted. It's very much like watching a poor actor - you are too keenly aware that he is only acting the part and you are never quite deceived into believing that he is the actual character being portrayed.

I am sure WGT is heading down the wrong road with this one,,,,I have played the new CTTH and I enjoyed it   ( although I am not a big fan of CTTH  ) ......I will not be paying to play the course, although I do believe it would be fun

Hopefully they end this new adventure ASAP and return to what they were doing.....just a little quicker thou  :)

.....Another piece of the pie for whoever's doing the finance planning. Growth.....I suggested earlier that WGT was compromising a standard of excellence. Maybe they're not. Maybe they just found a way to get into EA's knickers

whoever's/EA's knickers? Why would WGT want to get into EA's knickers when the new Marketing consultants/analysis/business associates are directly/indirectly employed by EA?

Rumor control, rumor control somebody call rumor control....lol

    Posted earlier on page 27 @ 12:02......

Perhaps the "classroom clown" wasn't that far off. With all the feedback from players who have experienced and played Two,TW, etc (I have personally never played) and reading their comments of the similarities with TruGolf.....I think I'll stick with my own conclusion and OPINION, thank-you. You know if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck.........

PS, just played Cabo CTTH for the 1st time. One things for sure, you don't have to ding to land every shot within 15ft of the pin.....hell you can miss the ding by 5 pixels and still land on every green.

Sure ain't the same meter WGT issued me when I play the four courses we have now.

Eh, it seems like everyone's piling on, so I may as well join in.

I gave the CTTH a test drive, and it just kind of leaves you disappointed. The gameplay is fine. I mean, it's a game of golf being played by clicking a mouse a couple of times, it is what it is. I will at least give mention to the fact that the percentages from the rough seem more in line with what's seen in the game. When playing the older CTTH courses where rought might be 2-5%, my mind seems to switch back and forth to whether this would be a percentage relative to the stroke play game or if this is really how much the distance will be affected.

However, the biggest problem with the course is probably just as much a reflection on WGT's strength: the hopes are visually unappealing. Really unappealing. Even though I've played the stroke play courses a bunch of times since I've joined, they're still beautiful to look at. Switching from true pictures to renderings just kind of ruins it (and considering recent advances in video games, the renderings really aren't very good). The reality that, yes I am sitting at my desk at home and yes I am playing virtual golf hits that much harder, and it's not really in a good way. I'm not sure the variety of courses this agreement would provide would offset the pay-to-play aspect; after testing out TWO, the greens fee aspect to play any other course besides whatever one they had made free was one of the big reasons I wouldn't switch.

I doubt the pricing will fly. I'd hope (but you never know) people would take a free test run on the CTTH before paying for 9 or 18 holes. But, in reality, while we would be paying for a new course, we're also paying for an inferior product. Now, I'm definitely not in the camp of  "I want a new course every week, and I'll stomp and scream until I get it!" I know that until you can get a veritable shipload (a self-censored phrase if there ever was one) of cash and programmers/designers/whatever's necessary, courses won't be flyout the door. And there will still be the normal collection of complaints regardless of what you put out. However, I think it lowers the game's long-term credibility for a cop-out like this. Do what you and do it right; don't take the easy way out.

Easy to miss, but WGTadmin2 commented way back on page 14
