    PeterHopper:

What about much cheaper green fees?

4 sure they have 2 become much cheaper. With those graphics nobody wants 2 pay a dime after playing it once!

I am amazed that WGT have tried to pass this off as an exciting new partnership.

The graphics look like something from a PS2 game, surely this is a quantum leap backwards in technology and to charge a green fee for it, to say I was disappointed by what I got for my money is an understatement.

Maybe this is a simple reminder to show everyone what they can get a TWO, so we can appreciate the other courses more.... So when we get sick of WGT we can play that course and come back refreshed without leaving!

I never said they took anything away..YET!

What I said is that making new things is good but charges per play "when not gambling" are NOT!

I also said clubs an balls should be enough spent by users who don't gamble.

Said that I would not pay a per play green fee.

Then i suggest that if they need money for development of game from the users.. they use a fair flat rate one time fee on all courses current and future. Anything above what I said an I will quit playing and find another something to waste my time and money on. You are all free to set your own limits... isn't freedom nice?

If the funds from ads sponsors an gambling wont pay WGT monthly bills then they are messed up and the game will just close one day. Hoping they care what we think and that they are managing the the store so we all have a future here.

So again thats the point and if you read it all i did not contradict myself. Better that you worry about what WGT will do next.. than to pick apart my opinion. But waste your time an money as that too is of lil concern to me.

Now that is done I say another lame comment or 3 about how WGT has not taken anything away. I have to say that is correct but would still add a "yet" to be realistic.

Nope what they did was use your lil brain against you. They pay folks like me to come up with ways to use you against you. And each other.

They dont have to make you buy the course.. Jealousy within a human will do that. Just as jealousy makes you want the putt an driver of a legend.

Once you start thinking of ALL THE OTHER players that are "if they like lame graphics" paying to play the course they got ya. You cant let a dollar stand between doing what the other kids are doing now can ya. If you can resist then you gotta be the cheap bastage in their eyes and that you cant stand either now.... OR CAN YOU? They are betting heavy that you won't!

One last thing.. if the graphic of WGT was at EA standards I would not have played more than it takes to evaluate the game. The graphics "in a browser" are class A! I own more beautifully done games but they are console and installable so we cant compare those to a browser game.

So really I am worried a lil on two levels. one is that they are going to start up a log in fee next an just totally ruin the value of the game. Secondly that the beauty of the game will be compromised.

If either of these happen the future of WGT will grow quite dark IMHO.

    peace clams

I will give you my feedback now. THIS SUCKS!!! We have been with you all since the beginning of your grand experiment and now you want to charge us greens fees. The graphics suck! We have listened to you promise us the moon only to reveal that it is made of cheese* IN other words...MONEY! I will go back to Tigerwoodsonline and love it. I can pay a one time membership fee and play over 24 courses and guess what else.NO METER ISSUES...EVER!!! You can keep you extra courses and kiss my A**!

I seem to be in the minority here but I'm glad they are trying something new.  Obviously, there is cost by outside parties driving these fees.  Could you imagine if WGT just ate the costs and then the money you were paying to WGT all went towards these other courses?  Yuck.

In this case, market will basically kill any further development and it will be a non-starter.  I think it will tell WGT what they need to know about what might or might not work.

In the meantime, I'm shocked so many people are ripping them for at least giving something a shot to add courses.

I want new courses but I don't want it this way.  I'll just have to wait while they keep building courses and I would love for WGT to try and add some of the current CTTH courses while they could.

Finally, I think someone said it best that there have to be high end country clubs that would be willing to pay for the advertising of their courses.  You can't tell me there arent some out there that would be willing to drop 6 figures to get the courses pictured and man hours to put something together if it meant that many thousands of people would play their course every day and they would get a small residual cut over time on top of that.

It's the thin edge of the wedge....what will they do next? Support this abortion and you will be paying every time you play....with adverts between shots to boot!
