Penguinshots: What's a retread?
Basically, it's someone who has played the game previously, learned it, leaves, and comes back under a new identity. It's not uncommon. So, when a new player is fairly successful quite quickly, people will question whether the person has played before under a different name.
Penguinshots: The game seems to be getting harder and is it just me or is the hole getting smaller as well.
As you go up in tiers, the game definitely gets harder. The course gets longer and the greens become faster. That means longer approach shots, and breaks on greens that are more pronounced than at lower tiers. And yes, there are days the hole seems smaller! But it's the same size. :-)
Penguinshots: I don't really understand the scoring avg I was at 65 I shot 67 and my avg went down to 64. If that could be explained I would appreciate it
At each tier, there's a number of rounds you will saturate at. Your average will be the best X scores from that tier. When you were at Master tier, I believe saturation was at 40 rounds. Once saturated, your average cannot increase. But it can still decrease even if a round is above your average, provided the score is lower than a score that was included in your top 40 (using Master tier as the example). The new round replaces the higher round in your top 40 for purposes of calculating your average.
Now that you're at Tour Master, your average resets and will fluctuate until you saturate again. At Tour Master, saturation is the best 50 ranked rounds. (By the way, at these tiers, the average can fluctuate in other ways besides playing ranked round. But I'll let someone else address that part.)
Keep it in the short grass and play well!
