    It's a great game Chad.

    Please don't screw it up.

Thanks for the update Chad. A lot of work needs to be done with the  exactly square squares on the cross cut greens. This was done well in the fairways. Obviously if you were looking at an angle to an exactly flat green the HD of the cross cut would be ok. But you are dealing with greens that have hills and would therefore need to be adjusted to have a better idea of what speed to putt your putt and shape your shots onto the green.

I for one thought everything to do with grass other than the above was passable. The ocean looked like an 8 year old's watercolor drawing honestly. Maybe a calmer day look. The sand agreed is not aesthetic. For a first try a much greener background would have been a better way to introduce this concept.

Some of my friends are trying this sparingly and enjoying it somewhat just for the variety. And I think maybe a lot of the negative feedback is going to come from the players that realize that it would be too costly to put in enough rounds to really excel at the new courses.

Biggest crock of *** to come out of WGT's mouth yet.  Greed is all it is about, a buck for 9 fricken holes?? TruGolf does realize this is a PC game and not a RL simulator right? That is nothing but pure robbery. And of course I know I don't have to pay it, nor will I, EVER.

Well Chad, aka Mister Prez, it's a pleasure to finally meet the "Man". 1st Off I'd like to thank you, your staff and every single "little guy" in your organization for one of THE finest online game experiences in the world!!!

I'd like to address your statements in the Update, and add a couple of comments because I feel that I'm a typical .WGT member, and in my chat sessions with other players( which btw really adds to the totality of the game) we have discussed at length what is happening as the game evolves.

It's wonderful news to hear that we will soon get the new stroke play courses. We thirst for those, as repetitive play with few alternatives can get very frustrating.Your graphics and the ability to make this game superior to any PS3 golf game are 1 of the reasons for many thousands of players.

Concerning your recent alliance with TruGolf : I noticed the 100c tab and at 1st was a bit disgusted, but having spent a fair amount of dough on balls, clubs, attire etc, I figured for the price of a sleeve of balls it might be fun, and naturally I was ready for a new challenge.

It was a good experience, The fairways and greens were of my accustomed WGT quality, but the cactus and desert surroundings were mere caricatures compared to your most excellent graphics. Perhaps your team might entice TG to step up.

And lastly, WE ( I believe I speak for a majority here) understand that WGT is a for profit venture. No one can create what you have without considerable expense. Yes the pop-up adds were annoying, the noisy ones can go away, but in my constant play I understand the need and thusly accept them for a momentary distraction.

I love the fact that a person can sign up and play for free forever, but as most of us try very hard to get better and gain a little ground, we will and DO spend the money to achieve a little equality with ourselves( spelled toughest critic). I feel that a lot of us support your sponsers, because they're heavy hitters and have a multitude of products.

In Closing, I love/hate this game, I love to play, I hate the incredible differences caused by meter glitches, totally expected, but always happening just as my finger tries to push the mouse thru my desk..I know it's the #1 issue, I fervently pray for a remedy.I will continue my support, comunally, and monatarily, but PLEASE, keep it on the cheap as some of us are fixed-income, retired, shut-in, and in general regular folks.

Thanks for your time Chad( and crew), and keep the Dream real !!!

Same as the price of gas, if every driver in the world stops buying gas for one day-what an impact, if every WGT addict ( like myself ) would not spend one cent on here for say a week, what an impact it would have. Problem is, we won't do that we need our fix. I believe our fix is to fix the current problems that we all complain about. We certainly need input from Lizzie, Yancy and the other extremely gifted members on this site.

    Mister WGT,

I immensely enjoy your product, and as such have invested in virtual equipment, RG tournaments and such. Surely as you're now involved in this partnership with Trugolf, it would be possible for you to express the feelings of your members. I agree you cannot ever please everyone but it would be possible to change the current format for these TG courses and as previous posts have mentioned offer the choice of a monthly pass to these courses or maybe use these courses in premium tournaments where members pay to participate but with the chance of winning credits back. The WGT natives are restless, only the new congressional will quieten us down.

Keep up the good work, good business never ignores its customer base.

    Steve

    A couple of thoughts

    1) No one forces any of us to spend $$$$ on the site, That's what surveys and offers are for.(where available) . Remember that a soft economy effects the websites sponors too. They may also be cutting back on their support.

Personally I have spent only $45.00 here and have played over 300 rounds, upgraded clubs and use Callaway balls. Currently I am a Master and even with glitches with the meter I still enjoy the game and the members that play the game.

    2) Give WGT a break. Hopefully Mr. Nelson is a good business man and understands that they have a very good product and a good "thing" going with it.

3)I think WGT has gotten the message that the 2 big issues are the METER and ADDITIONAL pin locations.

    thanks for the game

I'm still calling this a late April Fools joke.

Because if it ain't then two other possibilities exist in my mind:

    1.  WGT really doesn't understand or care to understand their core customer base.

    2.  WGT is playing a psych game on it's community.

And #2 is what I believe and here is why......

No  way in hell WGT believed from the beginning of this plan that it's players would go for it.   And and by it I mean expecting it's players to rejoice and praise WGT for giving us (supposedly)  lots of TrueGolf courses at a $1 a pop.  No freaking way.    This is all going according to plan.

Now....that leads us to 'What the hell is really going on?'

    I can't tell you but I know why and that's $$$.

If I were to take a guess as to what is next it is gona be a compromise by WGT  (all according to plan mind you) and  they are gona say "Hey, we listen and green fees are reduced .....or......monthly fees ......or ...... something..'  to make us feel like we won.

We ain't  winning nothing.   We never asked for any of this.

And I'm sorry MisterWGT,  you didn't say anything in your post about RESPONDING/REACTING  to your customers.  Only repeated the mantra from the WGT update news and said you were listening.   Sorry but it's political speak bullcrap.   Say a bunch of words and not say anything.

So let me lead by example and speak truthfully and clearly.

I appreciate everything this game is and everything you guys do to make it a reality.  Most awesome golf ever.   But I don't appreciate your supposed concern for your ever growing community besides their financial contribution because your main concern, the bottom line, is showing thru every time.

So go ahead and do what you're going to do, but don't act like you care what "WE" think.

    thebigeasy707:

TruGolf's courses are developed externally....like Cabo Del Sol

WGT still have their own staff to develop their own courses etc.....like Congressional for instance.

That's my point, tbe... in other words, they can dump TruCartoon and it won't cost them anything.  They don't take the credits from TruCartoon to pay WGT, right?
