  The March League season has concluded and, hold the front pages, DoubleEagleRob didn't win the Premier League.  He still finished a highly commendable 3rd.  andyi45 was runner and winning his first title in the top leauge was...................Grace07.  Big congratulations.

  The new SEL Spring Tour starts next week and kicks off with our Endurance competition.

  13 courses and lowest accumulative score wins, but everyone receives Order of Merit points for their finishing position. Plus earning FEDEX points, which is a new competition for SEL

  We normally have over 100 of our 120 or so members post a score in this, which is top class activity.

  Last week seen our league season finish and we again had activity other clubs could just dream of, showing how well we pull together and enjoy our close bonds here at Sel.

  94 members took part in this fixture alone and all other league fixtures had no less than 85 post a score.

  No club can touch us for club comp activity and as per witnessed above, i dont just say we are active, i can prove it.

  Our FEDEX Cup qualifying has just started with our Endurance comp ths week.

  13 x 9 hole rounds of varying conditions (no red tees here though).

  The top 40 players after all rounds collated earn points toward FEDEX table.

  21 of these style events spread throughout year, leading to finals month in December.

  Below is a link to endurance #1 where 86 members have already posted a score and it does not finish till next Monday...........top activity

  Been at a couple of clubs in my time and they were both good but this club is truly great!

  Unbelievable participation, amazing depth of talent and a leadership group without peer.

  If you love a challenge and want more out of WGT then SEL is the place to be.

  As per members posts, like the one above from Mark and the others throughout advert. We admin really appreciate it.

  We work hard here creating comps for everyones enjoyment but its a hobby, something we love doing (sometimes lol).

  Other members create their own comps here also, and are encouraged to do so.

  If interested then read the first post and our proboards forum is there in hyperlink, just register and WGT invite will follow asap.

  No false promises here when i say our activity is top class

  We have 3 teams in the world cup and at present 2 of our teams are top of their groups.

  If you wish to learn from some top players who are always ready to give advice on equipment, putting calcs, wind adjustments or even course management then this maybe club for you.

  what can i say about SEL COUNTRY CLUB..............FANTASTIC in a word

  to all those golfers out there who fancy a cc change or dont belong to one, you should get signed up now before SEL reaches its maximum members.

  SEL has all the leagues and comps anyone could want, stroke leagues,ctth leagues, order merits tables, weekly alternate shot comps , uneven lie comps, stroke knockout comps, ctth knockout comps n the list goes on

  the players of SEL are great, the admin are genuinely the most hard working helpful bunch on wgt

  so if your looking to improve your game or want some top competition SEL is the place for you! so get signed up now..:)

  the SEL website/forum has all the info you will need when you arrive ( altho its a bit of a maze to start with.)..lol

  GREAT WORK FROM ALL THE SEL CC TEAM, HATS OFF TO TOU ALL..........

  They may at first Jerry but as you have witnessed there`s plenty of help from members and you seem to be settling in well.......good stuff.

  We are in the midst of sign up for our new competition starting June 1st.

  Matchplay League

  Graemelee is running his new league.  Depending on how many sign up then he will create divisions of head to head 18 hole matchplay with prizes already flooding in from members who have signed up. As usual prizes filter down through tiers.

  Double Eliminator

  A similar comp is our Matchplay Double Eliminator, that is a knockout comp with 2 chances, and that will be starting very soon also. That comp had 40 entrants for the comp that has just finished, of which MKrizan was the winner over Forrrrrrrr in an epic final.

  We are a strong matchplay club, 3 teams in Finnys World Cup and we have plenty of friendlies. If it interests you then contact me and i will discuss any of our comps further.

  We are active, click my profile and check comps i have played and you will see tthe numbers who played.......dont then scoff at my position in them...as i do my best ;-)
