I play the St Andrews tournament regularly. It is directly under the Pebble Beach tournament in the menu. Today, I thought I selected St Andrews, but had inadvertently chosen Pebble Beach. The option to use my CC pass blocked my view of the first tee and I agreed to use the pass. When I realized I was in the wrong tournament, I felt compelled to continue due to the pass. I promptly lost three balls on a course with which I'm not familiar and ended up abandoning the extremely unpleasant experience before I'd completed the first nine holes. One hundred eighty credits, a cc pass, and my time wasted, not to mention a good mood turned sour. I understand WGT must try to earn money and I don't begrudge that. Yet, I find it completely unnecessary to block my entire view of the game with advertising options. There are other games to play online. Try to do better to keep your customers.

Your bad not to look closely enough, isn't it?

IMHO, you over-estimate the importance of a CC pass. The first tee shot would bring the CDP to you and your CC (if at stake), after that, the points that you might miss don't really hurt. There will be another free pass in twelve hours!

That's a pity because it's a beautiful course! You might wanna practice it to learn the traps in the front nine!

    Have fun!

    Mr Pickett,

I can understand some of your frustrations, but I believe players should learn and play all courses - that is part of the fun and enjoyment.

As for the cost of balls - if you cannot afford to lose them, I suggest using a cheaper ball. I used the Tour SD when I eventually started to buy balls - it does have a faster meter but it is not painful when you lose one.

But I am a little confused where and how you managed to lose several balls on this course.

CC Passes are pretty much worthless, so just use your free passes, never buy them.

Finally I have to say, the CC Pass option only obscures part of your screen (unless you are a mobile player - then I have no clue) and it is pretty obvious that PB is not St Andrews. Unless this is different on Mobile Platforms it is hard to mix the two courses up.....I would have been clicking my heels, saying, I am not in Kansas anymore.....

Sorry, but if you were playing on a PC, I don't see how you were forced to pay an entry fee and play on a course you didn't mean to play.  From the Tournaments tab, the Tournament Calendar comes up.

If you are choosing either an entry fee paid Tournament or an entry fee paid Ready Go, a secure page comes up, telling you what you are trying to enter and what course it is played on.  As well as the cost to enter.

You have to then check the box agreeing to the fee and then hit the "Confirm entry" button.  After that you have to hit the "play now" button ( I think that's what it is called) to start your game.

If ads are a problem, get adblock or adblock plus.  I think you just made a mistake and are trying to say ads were in your way after the fact, if it happened on a PC.  I don't play tournaments on Mobile so I can't comment on how it works.

    Bottom line is "Buyer Beware".

Quite a few options IMHO, namely all the water coming into play, as the barn on the Par3 and the ocean on the right side of ##6, 8, 9 on the front 9. The back nine are "easier", but ##10 and 18 have riscs, too.

It is, but the view is pretty much obscured on mobile. Which course and hole is this?

(easier if you know that it's a ranked round, i.e. tee 1 or 10, neither of which (sp?) have ocean shore on STA)

On PC, it's the same view, but

    - in full colour and brightness,

    - with the hole info in top right (logo, number, scorecard length)

OP: We all have our dough brain (or should that be Doh? more similar than the two pics above, that's for sure) moments from time to time but most of us would consider advertising that fact to the world as being the last option.

Not only have you done so but have compounded the felony by losing three balls on a course which is possibly the most secure on the list and then admit to allowing a mere online golf game to sour your mood.

Worst of all is, that you are not man enough to accept the outcome as being a result of your own stupidity but rather you slight the company who has previously given you nigh three years of pleasure.

You are correct, there are other online games. Perhaps you should consider one.

Dear me.  What a shocking state of affairs.

Have you considered going to an optician?  Or did you once try to but ended up in the butchers by mistake?

Kudos for stepping up and admitting to your stupidity, a round of applause for that man.
