I actually play a lot of practice rounds at Oakmont, and I don't usually have masochistic tendencies. I struggle with the putter, and figure if I can learn to manage those greens, I can putt anywhere. Oakmont is challenging but fun and manageable tee to green now that I moved up from the Tour Plus to the Raptures, and I can usually hit most approaches within 10-15.
What I most love is the club change making a lot of those holes on BPB more reachable. #17 went from an almost guaranteed bogey+ to a makable par.
