I also find oakmont to be unreal the greens are impossable to putt with any kind of skill .How can a green be downhill no matter where you are on the green come on guys get real here .I'll no longer play this coruse no matter what untill you guys at wgt get real with it ,, you put a warning sign on bethpage black about how diffacult it is , what a joke that is other then the elavated greens i find it a joy to play compaired to oakmont i just played 18 at oakmont after the 9th hole i didnt lookwhere i hit the ball dint addjust for wind , dint adjust for green slope , simplely got as close to the center line as i could and did better the last 9 holes then i did the first 9..... seems to me it doesnt matter what you try to hit the ball at but where wgt thinks it should go .... Its the same with all wgt's coruses , i can hit a drive 100 times the same way with the same wind and the ball never seems to go where it should that tells me the game is rigged for you to fail .. luck plays a part in this game but skill should play into it as well you would think after hitting a ball 10,000 times you get a idea where its should go ..here its a crap shoot hit the ball and hope it goes where you hit it ...why do you think they havent put a driveing range in or a putting green ,, cause they know the way the game is setup you wont get the results you know you should when you hit the ball the same way 100 times
