cutsthegrass: I really like playing this game, but the wind is so unrealistic it is starting to make the game boring.
I have to admit that's a new one: the wind makes the game boring. Not sure how that works. But yes, the wind tends to be unrealistic. And, at times, from what I gather, it creates an equity issue with the tournaments because not everyone has the same wind characteristics.
But it also is unrealistic inasmuch that it's not consistent across all 9 holes. And people know that going in, or they should be aware of that if they've played the game any amount at all. Nevertheless, that means that while the wind could be a detriment on one hole, it could very well be helpful on the next hole.
Personally, I think the wind can make the game more interesting because it presents another variable to consider. Two of my favorite courses still are St. Andrews and RSG. And I shot my best round ever on RSG, with heavy winds.
In other words, embrace it.
cutsthegrass: I hate to inform you people, but the wind does not blow
25+ everyday even at Pebble Beach. I use to live near there so I know
what I am claiming.
We're all very happy you told us. None of us could have figured that out on our own.
