When you run out of a sleeve in the middle of the game you have only one option and that is to buy or play with WGT ball. Why not have the program default to the next available ball in your inventory. Many of us have balls in our inventory that are not WGT balls so at least we could use them up during the round.

Amazing . Your account is over 7 years old and you have only as many posts . So in the time of your absence this question has been asked over 100 times . But since you dont visit the forums regularly here goes .

The exttra balls you have in your inventory arent in your bag after you start a round . When the game gives you the option to check your clubs that is the time to do so . Whatever ball brand that you start the game with that is what you will have . Once you run out the game gives you the choice to buy more of the same brand or finish with the rock . The game does not go back into your inventory and give you another ball of your choice .

Consider those balls as being left back in the locker room or the trunk of your car . Since your account was started in 2009 you should know the answer to your post by now . So for your own good never start a round with 1-2 balls in your bag . You have to allow for ball loss due to water shots or going out of bounds .

My suggestion to WGT was to kill the round when players run out of balls and that would end the problem . Give the player the option of either buying the brand they were playing with or player forfeits the round , instead of finishing with the free ball .

So there you go Roy the answer to your question as to the why not . Sorry that it doesnt help and that it also wont change a thing .

    Dear WGT,

Have you ever thought of offering balls by the dozen at a discounted rate?

Still offer same balls as a 3/sleeve...

    just wondering...

There are some people who dont have an opinion on every subject on the planet, I will only respond to a forum question if I know the answer, I will only create a forum question if someone has not done it before, that why I only have a few comments myself. However I do visit the forums on a regular basis, looking down your nose at me and others because we only get involved when we need to rather than when we have nothing else to do, is only counter productive.

We are not trying to beat the world record for the amount of posts, we just need information occasionally, please dont sneer at us because of this.

A quick forum search for discounts on dozens will reveal threads asking for this dating all the way back to 2010. WGT personnel have ignored every one of them.

If you are using the last of the make/model ball you started a game with WGT posts a notice giving you the chance to get more of the same make/model of ball you started the game with.

At that time it is your choice to get another sleeve, or not.

Well that's a pretty dumb way to think about it. I don't know if you're a really good golfer in real life, or if you even golf at all. I can assure you my real golf bag holds far more than 3 balls and they don't even have to be the same brand! I buy the reused balls because I suck. When I lose a Titleist, I go reach into the bag and maybe pull out a Callaway. I don't mind buying mid round because I want to get used to a ball and only play that one. But maybe some people aren't like that. Or maybe something happens like what just happened to me. I lost my last Nike ball during a ready-go and bought 3 (!) sleeves of them just trying to get them to equip. They wouldn't equip so I ended up stuck with the starter ball. Now if I would have had the choice, I could have switched to something else in my inventory. It can't be rocket science to make that happen.

And I know, I don't have very many posts either so flame away. But there are two reasons for that. First, I have far more questions than I have answers.  I'm sure no one wants advice from me, which you'll see when you undoubtedly go look at my profile. Plus, I'm still moderated so that's about as annoying as....

    Don't think so - it's rather a simplification.

Complying with the rules, the bag is closed during the game - you must not change clubs. Here, it includes the ball slot - it holds only one type of balls, with the Starters as a bail-out.

Any choice would be harder to program than you might imagine...
and of course it's a business decision: They would pay for a change that leaves them at less income.

Discounts on balls would be good but how about being able to sell back unused balls like old clubs? Would be nice to be able to get a little something for old balls that you no longer play for whatever reason. WGT should love that idea people buy balls and sell them back for a fraction of the cost just like clubs.
