That's easy. I write at length about topics that are important, and I say "Let's move on" when something doesn't seem important. An attempted (!) purchase of questionable software by an IT professional does not strike me as an important affair to discuss. And, as I said, publicly dissecting correspondence that was meant to be private is hardly a noble undertaking. You say "apparently", Lysti, so you're not sure, either, if Tibbets attempted to clarify the issue privately before going public with it. Tibbets might do well to clarify this or, better yet, have this thread locked so that we can move on to discussing those worthier causes, such as the many forum bugs and ****ting.

Brandi, you gotta be kidding, as I never ever proposed any harsh penalties for quitters, but merely this list of mild quitting deterrents.

This is not a q issue so lets drop that one now thanks. This is the biggest issue of all, sorry it's not to you though,  but i am fighting for top spots that can be stolen too easily. Sorry about my wording (apparently) but how about this one...was denied.  I have a lot of info that i will not post & no one else can without ramifications.  Sorry you are out of the loop however if you were more understanding of points that are not of interest to you, you would be.

lol Faterson, of course it was attempted to be rectified in private.  My message was promptly deleted from said persons wall with no explanation.  This thread arose as a result, and a comment involving a threat then appeared on my wall.

Frankly, the rules of the game don't discriminate on whether you work in IT or not as it pertains to the use of Macro software in this game.  One must be quite naive in the gaming world to assume that one would attempt to acquire software that cheats a game without any intent on testing it/using it.  The rules clearly state that any such software is not to be used.  It matters not if it's for 'testing' purposes or not.  Anyone who has been around here, and especially anyone in the IT world, would know this quite well.

FACT:  There was an attempt to acquire this software.  It was 'allegedly' not successful.  That matter is up for debate.

FACT: This software was specifically advertised to cheat at WGT.

FACT:  This type of software is specifically forbidden by WGT.

Draw your own conclusions about those who would try to acquire it, and threaten those who would expose their attempts to do so.

This puts me in mind of a rather prominent AM radio talk show host here in San Francisco.  A well respected reporter who got a chance to host his own show...not once, but twice.  He held a prime evening slot, and with San Francisco's liberal population, did very well with his left-leaning political opinions.

He was also an ordained Roman Catholic Priest with Theology degrees...  taught theology from Washington DC to the SF Bay area and had another radio show every Sunday morning called "God Talk".  He, personally, was responsible for the Thanksgiving Charities drive in SF that has raised over $4million for local food banks and shelters.

He also "...received the Scripps Howard Award for Excellence in Journalism for his investigative journalism in a ten-part series, Heaven Help Us, which explored allegations of financial and sexual misconduct of the Archdiocese of San Francisco.[7] He has also won numerous national awards, such as an Associated Press award for coverage of the Los Angeles riots of 1992"   (Wikipedia quote and footnotes)

In December, 2007, he was indicted by a grand jury on two federal counts of distributing child pornography via the internet.  Currently serving an 87 month sentence in Federal Prison.

His first excuse to even having this material in his possession, as per his lawyer, was that he, as an investigative reporter, was doing research.

Riiiiiiiight.  And our individual here wanted to "Research" this cheating software.  Youbetcha.
