The Bethpage setup is consistent with the official USGA conditions. It was a Par 4 for the US Open and was the same for our Virtual US Open Championship last summer too. So basically when the USGA comes to town, #7 plays as a par 4 and we decided to stick with that.
Just to give a little more insight there is actually a teebox that is even further back than where the black tees are now. If the USGA had setup the tees all the way back it may have played as a Par 5, but instead they moved it up a box and called it a Par 4 instead .
