I wonder if there are known course records for ranked games?  I don't mean overall, like Bollox's 51 at Kiawah.  But at tier conditions, are there known course records for each tier?  If not, it should be something possible to discover and neat to know.  Perhaps could even be turned into an incentive by WGT where if a Tour Pro broke the course record for that tier on St. Andrews, they'd get either a credit bonus and trophy or a good sized exp bump and a trophy or plaque, for example.

If this is known information, where can I find it.  If not, maybe people could post their lowest scores by tier at given courses, if you think you have one or more that may qualify.  Three in particular that can be verified from my score history.

As a Hack, my very first ranked round I shot a 69 at BPB 4.17.11

As an Amateur, I shot a 63 at Kiawah 4.19.11  Haven't really come close since.  It was the first round after I upgraded to the Tour Plus set and gained a good 20-25 yards off the tees.

Won a free weekly with a 65 at BPB as a Pro, though I imagine there have been a great many better rounds there by Pros.

I was -7 on the Unlimited at BPB this week going into #15, with a three solid birdie string.  The leader is at 61, so I figured the way I was playing, if I could at least par #15, I had a good shot to get to -8 62 and a decent shot to get to -9 61.  #15 ate my ball.  Double bogey.  Composure lost, I bogeyed 16.  I regained my composure to finish par-birdie -5 65.  Looking back, I almost wish I had saved the game after #15 and gone for a walk before finishing LOL, but overall, I seem to play very well there.

Don't really have any 9 hole scores worth talking about, but feel free to post those too.  Remember to include score, course, and tier, and it has to have been a tier appropriate (tees, winds, greens), ranked game.

It's been a point of interest that has not been acted upon by WGT.  The only stats I am aware of (Except for the 'Earnings Leaders' on the Home page) are those posted to our individual profiles.

Pin positions, wind, green speeds, etc. would all be contributing factors for different course records. So it's hard to say that any one great score is better or worse than another.

Of course, there are variables like wind and such, but if it's a ranked tier game, it's automatically set for your tier difficulty.  And the course record at BPB from regulation tees is the course record, no matter what the conditions were that day.

The big problem I see, upon further thought, is if you didn't play ranked games, sticking to practice rounds, and were willing to spend the money, you could have a pretty fabulous set of clubs as a hack or amateur.

Isn't it technically possible to practice your way to level 88 and get access to everything but the legend balls while still a hack?  I guess those balls were the only things I noticed that had a minimum tier req.

And if so, it would hardly be fair to have someone with a set of G10s setting the Hack record on Kiawah.

    EDIT:

Yes...reaching Level 88 by playing only practice rounds is possible...but it could literally take years.  Not sure that makes sense since a good 3W gets you well down the fairway from most forward tees.  Besides, the longer drivers are harder to control and can actually go too far from there.
