  Played my 1st round.  We had strong left-to-right wind on #4.  Both Cmccartney and I got swatted down by that tree.  Even better, that's a 70 degree lie in the rough underneath.  Ugly ugly hole.

  How are you people posting 60s!?!?! I was lucky to escape with an 80 on my first time out (including a rather unfortunate triple on the 4th; it wasn't the tee shot that got me, but my second shot that hit a branch. *sigh*). I'll say this; that front nine is (for now) the most gorgeous set of holes in the entire game, and Congressional is now my favorite of the US Open courses, but christ do I have my work cut out for me over the next six weeks. 

  But in the back of my mind, I'll be counting down the days to a full round on Royal St. George's. That CTTH is phenomenal.

  Just take your time 2 learn the course, study the greens and the Holeinfo can be useful as wel. GL&have fun!

  When will the course be renamed, Bolloxin's course?  It's only the 1st day, is 49 or 50 just around the corner?

  You're wrong, he's been a secret beta tester for the last month. WGT had to add the trees on the 4th yesterday after he shot 49 just before the release date (may 11th), hence the delay
