faster than i15? May the other happy owners confirm the bad news? Thx

    It's not. it's slower than i15's but a hair faster than g10's.

OK, I keep them. Thanks for the Info Icon, maybe you could put this information somewhere in the PROSHOP - f.e. i15 -2,8 seconds, steelbruners- 2,6 seconds, g10s - 2,2 seconds. More players would buy them.

just a theory - same happend last year with i15s - I shot impressive scores first few rounds. Precision and forgivness changed after few days ( after I sold g10s and had to buy them again). Same today and Im not the only one as I can see - Im pretty sure the irons are preprogrammed so U recomend them and .... bla bla bla..... lets see in a week or soooo

Funny you mention that...although not irons (and not wanting to start a conspiracy theory..lol), I bought my first Callaways a few days ago, checked out the distances on a CTTH, played a F9 RG at Kaiwah and reeled off 6 straight birdies....nothing close to that now with them.

I only had time to use em for a 3 hole practice round last night b4 hitting the sack well after midnight... I've had a few full rounds with the new set t/nite.There is not much difference at the meter speeds b/twen the 2 sets (i15's and these). Must be just me, I think it's slightly faster than the the i15's...lol. You lose the 115yd wedge, which might be a worry...I liked that club too...lol. Just me again, I don't like the new wedges much so I won't get any of them (yes I have tried em)...lol

Very nice set of clubs, I must say!!

    -Cheers

People are mentioning there's no 115 PW with the new irons, but remember, the 220 yard 3i would be more like 233+ with Callaway balls, so there's no need for a 3 wood, so use the cleveland 115 yarder or Taylor Made 110 yarder instead, with another 3 wedges on top, i.e 100 & 80/75 yarder and there's even room for the 64 degree aswell.

Good point Chris, I hadn't even thought about adopting the 4 wedge strategy since yesterday. I think I will use that set up on certain courses outwith heavy winds.

exactly, I switched to TM 50 yard wedge after a year, makes sense with the 68 punch, how could I play without it till now, U can shot 10yard fullshots out of the craziest bunkers, this was impossible with the ping wedge - giv it a try

PS - 3 iron burner ? wow ! finally a weapon for the 200yard 25ft up shots -and they stop on the green, wow, GIR goes up lol

More like a DREADLOCK not a hair.

I rushed out and bought these after reading the HAIR thing, and i've gone from hitting ding to missing ding every shot, and my game's gone worse.

And with the 125 PW, i thought we'd get a 140 yard 9i, but no, its 135.  And the long irons go up in 15, compared to ping's G10's go up in 10's.  At moment i feel G10's are better yardage wise, i.e going up in 10 yards compared to burners 15's

Maybe i've had the G10's for sooo long, i'm stuck in a routine, but saying that, i've thrown my Clevelands out of the bag for important rounds (challenge etc etc) because i'd gone from being 2 yards or closer to pin with ping's, to over 4 with Clevlnds, lol.

If you went from G10 directly to these then of course you're going to be missing the ding for a while. It is hard to separate the meter speeds to begin with and now you're trying to hit something not close to anything you have. Most TM lovers probably hit the i15s for a stretch and the new speed is actually a little slower.

I can't say enough about them and am now trying 4 wedges again. Coverage is insane all the way down to 6 yards. From what I can see too, the par 5s at CCC aren't going to be yielding a whole lot of eagle tries and the 231 yard par 3 is the only headache I see without a 3w. This might not work but it's worth looking at.
