My concern with these new irons right now is that im seeing huge sporadic meter stutter,And when i switch back to G10s i dont see the same,Can other players comment who have these on how steady their meter is please compared to G10s or I15s,

I cleared my Flash cache before the first round with them and haven't seen a problem yet. I think Nivlac said something a long time ago about doing that. I always thought you were supposed to when you got new equipment. (Sorry for the lame clear cache response-I know you're hip.)  ;-)

Been using the new irons all day yesterday and today, but although i was 2 bogeys away from scoring 59 at Congress. C C Qualifier, i've gone back to using my G10's.  The dot more accuracy isn't worth the in-acurate shots i get due to missing ding, and i feel sacrificing a slower meter is not worth it.  I think i'll wait untill there's a set with a slower meter. Personally, its $25 down the drain for me, because why keep something that makes your game worse, but others (Yankee J included) can cope with faster meter and like the new irons.

If only I had kept the receipt LOL.  Doubt i'd get a refund, but WGT should look into being able to gift un used clubs to a friend, as i've also got 2 cleveland wedges getting dusty as my game had got worse while using them aswell, (and yes, i did try to get used to them, i've been at it since they came out,) but are more comfortable with the Pings.  Each to their own i think.

As for the Sirxon balls, they could be underrated little gems, i find them much easier to work out yardage wise compared to the callaways, especially long irons, more consistant.

Also (sorry for the speech), If you punch the Burner's PW (108 yards) and give it top spin, it easilly travells 116 yards, so it gaps the yardage between say cleveland and new irons PW.

I rented these irons and had the same problem.......But as YJ stated clearing the cache fixed it.    Apparently the cache for the other equipment clashes with the new equipment.

I have always cleared my cache after purchasing new equipment and just forgot to do it this time and really can understand why now.

    Hope it helps

I bought this set of clubs the other day. After playing with them for 2 days I was ready to give them back. I cleared my caches and guess what .  Wow they are the most accurate irons on WGT.( they should be ) I'm landing the ball much closer on approach shots and on most shots you can stop the ball almost dead, even with 170'--190' shots. I'm keepin em.

Similar impressions here, but i keep trying. The clubs seem to be more accurate, forgiving and spinny exactly as the dots suggest, so i hope it's only a question of getting used to the faster meter  and not a permanent state due to lack of reflexes (after all it's like g10 with gi-sd before calloways came). Besides, the main reason to keep trying is the 3 iron making kiawah 5, bethpage 8 (the further pin) etc. birdie holes, which can't be achieved with even the most perfect ding with g10.

As to hitting 116 yards with the PW punch shot, isnt it easier to choke the full shot? You get more spin even choking down to 110 yd.

Btw. is it easier to hit the ding with a higher resolution screen - i mean a bigger window - or is it irrelevant?

The point is to be able to cover the gap between 100 and 125. You're right in what you say but when you start asking a 125 yard club to hit  105-115 yards you leave yourself open to higher deviations when you miss, especially with the back spin exaggerating the deviation. Punching a shot is very effective and in this case running a punch to 116 means you're maxing the swing and will get better results and don't always need spin.

@DarSum-I think it was you that posted about that punch going that far. Great tip, it helped me out just yesterday and now ALee's advice looks pretty solid. Keep the 3W and punch the set PW.  :-)

I wouldn't choke more than to110 yd with the full shot of PW and 7/8 of the meter seems quite reliable for all wedges, so i'm not sure about the deviations (at least without full backspin). On the other hand the punch seems harder to control as usually a roll is involved if u want to reach something more than 108 (and when i tried punching this wedge it usually rolled even with full backspin). As to the gap, i use ping 54 wedge which goes to 108 or more with no spin.

You're missing out on a killer wedge, the CG100. The spin it generates makes the roll out infinitely manageable and the extra precision and forgiveness makes learning the punch shot well worth the effort. JMO
