WGT Please stop the quals at Congressional

  LOL. Qualifying is 6 weeks long and will eventually get to the point where the cut line is visible within a stroke. Last year that was around 1/2 way  through, I believe. That left 3 weeks to get under it and if you want to know stress golf, you'll see it then.  :-D

  It's funny, I've completed the course 3 times now, and every time I improve my score the difference with the cut get's bigger :)

  The scoring is pretty insane though, the cut is already at 66 with the top players at 56, just after one day. If I remember correctly in 2009 the cut for the US open wasn't far under par.

  The unrealistic thing is that 56 is -16 on one round

  If i remember well the historical US Open record is -12 on 4 rounds...276 strokes

  Perhaps wgt should stop brandname it US Open

  Looks like the cut will be 60. There are 137 players right now at 60 or better, and it will take just 19 players to move down from the large group at 61 or 62. They will be very keen to do so, and there is almost a month to go.

  With unlimited play and nearly a month to go, don't be surprised if the cut is 59.

  Don't forget 57 or 58. Tame green speeds, low winds and players playing 12 hours a day :-)

  Well I'm jostling for 717th place at the moment. If I keep improving at this rate I'll soon be rubbish.
