Now the 61s are all tied at 156th place. If one more person shoots 60, everyone at 61 will drop out.

tiffer67: bearclaw27: It's because of the distance afforded to the legends who are using the legend Callaway balls... that extra distance gives them 1 shorter club for their approach shots and hence they can put a lil extra spin on the ball to get closer birdie putts... I just shot a qualifying score using Srixon balls. The bottom line is you have to putt well as well as hit the ball well from tee to green, the type of ball is not the most important factor. Good luck qualifying, it took me god knows how many attempts.

Truer words were never spoken Tiff. I could have qualified last Saturday if I could have putted well. My putting is awful and seems to keep getting worse. And which ball you use doesn't really mater here. My best round so far was played with the Callaway i-s and matched with the Tour GI-S ball. Both 64's with many missed medium to short birdie putts. Though I did make a 45 foot eagle putt on # 6 in one of the 2 64's but missed 3 birdie putts inside 5 feet and missed 2 par putts on the last 2 holes under 10 feet.
GoodyChamp: It certainly helps 2 have good equipment but most important is the skill of the player.

Give me a 350-yard driver and I will prove you right...

As long as it's someone that already hasn't shot one. The 60 has to come from 61 up.
well said friend!
I tell u one thing, if it gets to 59, THE OPEN CAN KISS MY A$$!!!!!
