I admit, I didn't check al the threads but I'd like to know before I reach the first green what speed it has. A chip from just outside will differ a lot depending on the speed. So, thank you, I'm looking forward to that :-)

If you are talking about multi player games then the green speed always defaults to the speed of the player with the highest tier. Almost all other type rounds the green speed is listed on the bottom right beside the wind speed. There is almost no way not to know the speed unless you just don't pay attention.

    Champion  championship 13 or 14

    TL  championship 13 or 14

    Legend  tournament 12

    Tm  tournament 11

    master  very fast 10

    tour pro fast 9

    pro standard 8

ameteur and hack slow 7 not sure on this one.

Pay a little attention and most times you will only be looking at a stump reading that is 1 different which is not a lot of difference. As for pitches and chips  in most instances elevation changes have more of an affect on your shots than green speeds.

    +1!

In addition, ranked solo stroke play invariably comes with the player's standard stimp.

In tournaments, the stimp is visible in their game client tab before tee-off.

Only in Brackets, the indication is fixed to the first round - differences in the further rounds are hidden.

Hehe, I've heard of palm reading, but that's a new one on me.  : )

So, if I interpret you right...

I just played a Master lvl 80. I'm a Tour pro lvl 68, three hole stroke play game.

According to your table it should have been a "very fast" green speed. It was not, it was fast. How should I have known that?

You should have  known that because you are a tour pro and tour pro green speed is fast. You did not mention the fact that you are playing 3 hole coin games. In that case your green speed will always be that of your tier. And your opponent will have the green speed of his tier.

Actually, that is incorrect. Whenever I play a three hole coin game, the green speed is randomly selected, and the same for both players. Played one this morning on slow greens, and one on tournament.

So it was a non-issue all the time.
