Yes, think about what makes up a swing both here and IRL.

C'mon... Be nice and give him a straight answer. You guys are freaking mean! LOL ;-)

A practice swing is achieved simply not clicking at the moment of impact (ding).

    Cheers.

More of a practice meter than a swing. He was probably looking for something like Links used to have-you could step away from the ball and still click the swing. Wouldn't mind seeing that here.  :-)

Oh yeah, I remember that in ol' days, Jim.

I wouldn't mind that here at WGT, either.

Sorry, I had forgotten that part of Links....those days were a long time ago.  I wasn't trying to be mean, but I was thinking of a "practice swing" here as being a practice meter check like Jim said.

Never saw any mean there because what you said actually applies - thinking of how the real swing works. There's a tempo that develops for you as you play and when you find it, it's very easy to "feel" your swing the same way you would IRL. Slow, steady backswing, accelerate through the ball and snap the wrists at the right point. That's what  I thought the OP was looking for. Totally like the idea and can't imagine it would be too hard to implement.  :-)

    p.s., Here's a carrot for ya, WGT--you could whack the golfer 1 credit a swing.  :-D

Jim, Re Mean:  I was actually responding to the "tongue in cheek" comment by Simon and took it that way.  I didn't feel I was being mean in the usual context, lol.

Your p.s. could open up a whole new thing:  A WGT version of whack a mole.

Oh my that brings back memories.  Links was awesome, and soooo many famous courses too.

Yes. It was great back then. The same way EA's Tiger games were better in the earlier versions. If anyone is interested,  I found a site for Links 2003 at something called linkscountryclub.com

The Links 2003 game is available there, but you probably need a computer running an older version of Windows.  They have suggestions on how to get it run on 7,8 and 10, but I couldn't run it on my Windows 10 setup.  I had problems getting DirectX to work.  Tried everything they suggested, but no luck.  I finally gave up.
