Change user name!!!

  No way there is not some type of ID under the surface to identify people. The name is just an attribute. No blocks should be undone and the same practices there for multi-accounts will still be there. Friends will still be linked. I am taking a relational database class right now and I can only guess WGT didn't use the user name as the primary key for each acct, nor it is being stored anywhere except the main user table.

  My name has no relation to me and I didn't even pick it. Long story how it came to be but I am not starting over now! Oh well, I am who I am I guess!

  OK, I agree that it would be nice to be able to change our user names. But I really had to laugh at the comment about coins. The reason is that what you're saying is that you're basically willing to give up something that is virtually worthless to get something that has value to you.

  I remember a discussion along these lines before. If I recall correctly each player has a user number. If that id were used for blocking, etc, then the displayed monicker could be changed without any other effect.

  Thanks for the confirmation mate :) Like i said there's nothing untoward as regards multi/cheater of this player.Just seems strange she was allowed to change her username but others can't(After being vetted by WGT of course before allowing it just the once)

  It came back to me. Assuming you have used an uploaded graphic for your icon, right click on it and open in a new tab/window. When I do so, I get this...

  u584776 is my user number. Being 6 digits tells ya I've been here awhile.

  If Wgt cross-referenced it would work. Say I was on your block list and changed my name to Tom Jones. The name on the block list would still identify me with my former name and thus continue to block the new one. It's that simple

  it would work, they just have to modify the game, to track userid and not by their unique username, at which point the username would be just like a in game effect that can be always removed or edited... is more of a programming issue than what actually can be done... when comes to software almost everything can be done, is just if its not making any $$ sense it won't happen. maybe put it for premium 2$ customization card to change the username ? just an idea.

  Because of Match Play Challenge Games name changes should not be allowed. Concerns about multi-account players center around  unfair advantages they gain. Think about accepting a challenge from someone who changes names just to play a challenge as a ringer.

  Don't we all wish that we could do something simple like this, without the worry of player abusing it. Sad actually, but that's the way it is.
